“You do you” is one of my least favorite phrases. Along with “we have the tools” and “you have to live your life.” Thought-stopping cliches* that justify social murder and mass disabling.
“The most far-reaching and complex of human problems are compressed into brief, highly selective, definitive-sounding phrases, easily memorized and easily expressed. They become the start and finish of any ideological analysis.”
I believe “it’s mild” with the first omicron wave was the first one. It really alarmed me when a smart and covid conscious friend said, as the variant was approaching, “well, at least it’s mild.” So many complex ideas & unknowns smashed down into… an unwarranted hope. A lie.

“Over the coming months, more than 100,000 Americans will likely die, mostly unnecessarily, from respiratory infections. …Most of these Americans will be our most vulnerable.”
IF ANYONE NEEDS A REMINDER WHY SOME OF US ARE ANGRY, OUR DEATHS ARE SHRUGGED OFF BEFORE WE EVEN DIE.
Our PREVENTABLE deaths are shrugged off, and people wonder why we seem a bit fixated on our struggle to survive.
I want all of my social media to stay up forever. If anyone wonders about me after I’m gone they can see I spent my last years / months doing whatever I could to shift things to a less genocidal reality.
