Yes!! This is such an important point. I’ve had ME for ten years, but had so much denial and unrealized hope for a return to normal for YEARS. There are literally millions right now who think they are temporarily embarrassed healthy people rather than brand new disabled people.
If everyone who’s been disabled by Covid was loud about it like I am, it would be extremely easy to see what a massive societal problem this is. But we are still only a few years into this pandemic. So many people are in denial. Or they’re in the early years of trying to get help

“You do you” is one of my least favorite phrases. Along with “we have the tools” and “you have to live your life.” Thought-stopping cliches* that justify social murder and mass disabling.
