1/ Russia has lost at least 55 (visually confirmed) of their 100 pre-war active 152mm 2S5 Giatsint-S self propelled guns, with 10 more units being damaged. In this thread I will show how many 2S5 they had in storage and how many might be left⬇️ https://ukr.warspotting.net/view/21619/110692/
2/ Since there is a higher number of vehicles and bases here is an overview of the numbers. Russia has at least removed 288 (~48%) and some of the remaining 2S5 have had their gun removed. Image
3/ Once again the 94th arsenal is the main base for storing this SPG, where at least 175 units have been removed until January 2024 (2S5 marked in red).

94th: 02.05.2021 55.014463,73.396814 (Google Earth, Maxar Technologies)
94th: 10.01.2024 55.014463,73.396814 (SkyWatch, Airbus Pleiades Neo)

94th: 10.01.2024 55.018705,73.398902 (SkyWatch, Airbus Pleiades Neo)
4/ Interestingly not a lot of vehicles have been removed between July 2023 and January 2024. It is possible that many of remaining vehicles are cannibalized such as the ones shown below but the satelite images from Jan are not good enough to asses the extent of this. 94th: 20.05.2023 55.014322,73.394237 (Google Earth, Airbus)
5/ At the 120th all (visible) 2S5 have been removed since the start of the war.
120th: 16.10.2021 53.224786,34.394875 (Google Earth, Maxar Technologies)
120th: 12.01.2021 53.224786,34.394875 (SkyWacth, Airbus Pleiades)
6/ The 80th base had 31 2S5 in 2021 and after the base was reorganized in 2023 36 2S5 were visible which might have been stored inside. The most recent image I have from this base has very low resolution so some units might hve been removed since February.
80th: 14.08.2021 56.761397,61.189163 (Google Earth, Maxar Technologies)
80th: 08.02.2023 56.761397,61.189163 (SkyWatch, Planet skysat)
7/ About 18 2S5 were stored at the 243rd, although it looks like 11 already had their gun removed before the war started, regardless all vehicles were removed until August of 2023.
243rd: 22.04.2021 48.353394,135.041376 (Google Earth, Airbus)
243rd: 07.08.2023 48.353394,135.041376 (Google Earth, Airbus)
8/ The 2S5 stocks at the 7020th also decreased significantly from 68 to 35 and it is visible in May 2023 that many of the remaining vehicles had their gun removed.
7020th: 05.09.2021 43.837600,131.993214 (Google Earth, Airbus)
7020th: 11.05.2023 43.837600,131.993214 (Google Earth, Airbus)
9/ All 2S5 were removed from the base in Lesnoi Gorodok and the 744th.

Lesnoi Gorodok: 27.05.2020 51.743303,113.032723 (Google Earth, Maxar Technologies)
Lesnoi Gorodok: 09.10.2022 51.743303,113.032723 (Google Earth, Maxar Technologies)
744th: 05.09.2021 47.410424,40.068830 (Google Earth, Maxar Technologies)
744th: 09.01.2024 47.410424,40.068830 (SkyWatch, Airbus Pleiades)
10/ There were also 12 2S5 stored at the 230th base on Sakhalin island and all of them were still there in October 2022, which is the most recent image I have. Additionally I am not sure if these might belong to active units.
230th: 17.10.2020 46.766821,142.739459 (Google Earth, Maxar Technologies)
230th: 13.10.2022 46.766821,142.739459 (Google Earth, Maxar Technologies)
11/ In conclusion the 2S5 is one of the most cannibalized types of the SPGs in storage and the pre-war stocks have likely decreased by more than 50% by now, considering many images are more than 6 months old.
12/ As with other SPG types the system is likely more limited by the availability of barrels (guns removed from stored units), but also ammunition, since the 2S5 ammunition is not compatible with other russian 152mm systems.
13/ Unfortunately I dont have any data on how many are currently in active service, but considering the visually confirmed losses and and the numbers of units removed from storage it is possible that more than 300 are still active, although the number is likely much lower.
14/ What do you want to see next?

1/ Russia has lost at least 23 152mm Giatsint-B throughout the invasion of Ukraine, although they didnt actively use this type before the war started according to The Military Balance 2022. All of the lost units came from storage and this thread shows how many might be left.⬇️ https://ukr.warspotting.net/view/11673/122469/
2/ First of all here is an overview of the numbers. This system seems to have one of the highest removal rates of all towed artillery, considering that by now likely more than 80% of their pre-war stocks have been removed. Image
3/ The base in the tiny town Planovyi is by far the largest base for storing towed artillery and had about 720 units of 2A36 in 2020. By July 2023 only 120 remained there, although the quality of the image isnt perfect and the number is likely even lower by now.

1/ Ukraine has been using the 130mm M-46 to defend against the russian invasion, but Russia seems to have only used this system rarely so far and not even a single loss is visually confirmed, although they have more than 600 in storage, which I will show in this thread ⬇️ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/130_mm_towed_field_gun_M1954_(M-46)#/media/File:M-46_Lutsk.jpg
2/ As with the 2S4 finding the M-46 is easy since they are all stored at one base near Shchuchye which I usually refer to as Planovyi. This base has three spots with M-46 towed artillery holding 676 guns in 2020.

Planovyi: 10.08.2020 55.283172,62.725511 (Google Earth, Maxar Technologies)

Planovyi: 10.08.2020 55.283172,62.725511 (Google Earth, Maxar Technologies)
3/ In images from July 2023 it is visible that some of the guns have been removed and the total number of remaining M-46 is down to 600.

1/ Russia has already lost 42 240mm 2S4 Tyulpan that are visually confirmed, which is more than their pre-war active fleet of 40 units according to The Military Balance 2022. They have been reactivating many from storage and I have analyzed how many might be left in this thread⬇️ https://ukr.warspotting.net/view/20724/117392/
2/ Finding the russian stock of 2S4 is not hard, since they are all stored at the 94th arsenal in Omsk. The numbers of 2S4 at this first spot have dropped from 193 in 2021 to roughly 120 in January of 2024, with few units being cannibalized.

94th: 10.01.2024 55.014560,73.396889 (Skywatch, Airbus Pleiades)
3/ At this second spot 115 of the 177 vehicles were removed leaving 62 in January 2024. I have not noticed any cannibalization here in higher resolution images from 2023.

1/ Since Russia started the invasion in 2022 they have lost at least 188 2S19 Msta-S and 38 2S33 Msta-SM (Oryx). This is one of the most capable systems in the russian arsenal, so how many do they have in storage to replace their losses?⬇️ https://ukr.warspotting.net/view/10994/31229/
2/ The only storage base that had some visible storage of 2S19 before the war started is the 80th arsenal. You can see all 111 2S19 at that base in the image from 2021 below and until Feb 2023 none of them had been removed.

80th: 08.02.2023 56.760206,61.192681 (SkyWatch, Airbus Pleiades Neo)
3/ Looking at the Spot image from Oct 2023 I assumed that most of them were still there but in a new image, which unfortunately has a lot of cloud cover it is visible that about 100 remain. Note that some barrels have been removed since the number of shadows and hulls dont match.

1/ Russia has lost at least 118 122mm 2S1 Gvozdika SPGs (Oryx) of their 150 active pre war units. At the same time they have reactivated a minimum of 337 from storage. Here is how many they might have left ⬇️ https://ukr.warspotting.net/view/11439/51705/
2/ I have added a lot of satelite images from almost all spots where the 2S1 can be found in this thread. Here is an overview of the numbers including the dates of the imagery I used. Image
3/ 94th: Starting of with the 94th arsenl in Omsk. At this first spot the number of 2S1, which are marked in orange decreased from 254 in 2021 to 150 in 2024 with 20 more nearby.

1/ Unfortunately this is not true! David presents false information here and I will prove this with some satelite footage from January in this thread, as he should have done:

Airbus Pleaides 10.01.2024 (55.021415,73.384938)
2/ First of all the "new images" David is refering to are from May 2023, posted by @hizzo_jay and then stolen without credit by @UKikaski. The footage shows a small part of the 94th Arsenal in Omsk (55.021415,73.384938).
3/ The footage was later then taken by @TrentTelenko and @secretsqrl123 as evidence that Russia is running out of artillery systems in storage, with both of them not noticining that they were looking a mortars and not towed artillery (the base primarely has SPGs and mortars).
