Trump’s ally, Marjorie Taylor Greene, has gone mad. In her recent address, she lied about Ukraine by accusing Ukrainian government of attacking Christians.

2/ Here is her exact quote: “This is a war against Christianity. The Ukrainian government is attacking Christians; the Ukrainian government is executing priests. Russia is not doing that; they're not attacking Christianity. As a matter of fact, they seem to be protecting it."
3/ As a Christian, who lived in Ukraine during the past two years, I can say that the only persecution of Christians in Ukraine comes from russia. Since the start of full-scale invasion, russia has destroyed more than 100 churches.
4/ In the occupied territories, russia regularly persecutes Christians. The main target is Evangelical Christians who account for less than 5% Ukraine's population but make up one-third of reported incidents of torture and persecution at the hands of the russians.
5/ Yet, it is insane that Evangelicals actually support Marjorie Taylor Greene. This world really gone mad.

The russian war and genocide against Ukrainians have changed me. The russians killed three of my friends; they have beheaded, castrated, raped, tortured thousands of my countrymen; they have destroyed the livelihood of millions.

2/ I used to be much more tolerant and accepting of different points of view. But now, my vision is more black and white. The war became personal. The pain became personal.
3/ When you are bombed every night for 2 years straight and have your country invaded, it is personal. I think everyone of us has lost someone, either on the battlefield or when the russian rockets and drones bombed civilian infrastructure.
A video of a Ukrainian pastor preaching to an empty church building destroyed by russians. He says that at one point of time there were people here who were freely worshiping God. Then he starts crying, because russians have destroyed this place of worship. 1/n
2/ This is a reality of the “russian world” - russians are torturing and murdering Ukrainian Christians in occupied territories for their faith. The russian Orthodox Church has already called it a “Holy War” against Ukrainians, blessing the genocide against Ukrainians.
3/ Protestants are targeted disproportionately. American missionaries have been coming to Ukraine for decades. As a result, Protestants make up about 4% of the Ukrainian population. However, they comprise more than a third of the documented incidents of russian persecution.
18 russian “diplomats” were allowed to work inside NATO headquarters in Brussels. 8 of them turned out to be spies and were kicked out in 2021, but NATO still kept the 10. Now, Stoltenberg says that the 10 also turned out to be spies. What a shock!

2/ How can one be so naive? Russia always lie and their diplomacy cannot be trusted. Starting with Budapest memorandum, where russia agreed to protect Ukrianian sovereignty, and ending with hundreds of direct lies from Kremlin, such as “we are not going to attack Ukraine.”
3/ In addition to russian spies in Europe, which are called “diplomats”, russia had a network of sponsored European politicians. Many top politicians literally worked for russia and were paid millions: 🇩🇪 Chancellor Schröder, 🇦🇹 Chancellor Schüssel, 🇫🇮 PM Lipponen, 🇫🇷 PM Fillon.
Mike Johnson again cancels voting on the US aid to Ukraine.
The date has been postponed again for several more weeks. Speaker Mike Johnson is coming up with new excuses, saying that he is trying to 'soften opposition' from radical Republicans.

2/ If put to a vote, the bill is expected to pass with a large majority in favor, just like in the Senate. But Johnson, who has accepted russian campaign money in the past, refuses to put the aid bill to a vote.
3/ This delay for over 6 months has already cost Ukraine thousands of Ukrainian lives. I am truly ashamed for these representative of the Republican Party. And I am even more ashamed for some Ukrainian Americans who will actually be voting for these pro-russian advocates.
Two years ago, I wrote a post that went viral and was translated into various languages. The post was about Ukraine's determination to fight to the end.
Today, I want to add more…

2/ At that time, people were pushing Ukraine to negotiate. I wrote then that Ukraine would not negotiate until the russian occupiers retreated from our territory. Neither independence nor territorial integrity can be a subject of negotiation.
3/ Now, two years later, I want to reiterate my statements. I say this at a time when russians have been launching mass rocket attacks on our cities for several days in a row.
Two years ago I had one of the most painful conversations with a faculty I hired at American University Kyiv. Hanna was supposed to move to Kyiv, but she stayed in Sumy - a city surrounded by russians. I didn’t know if I would ever see her again. Here is that conversation: 1/n
2/ Me: Hanna, how are you? Were you able to get out of Sumy? Do you need a place to stay in Western Ukraine?
3/ Hanna: I stay where I am - in Sumy, with my parents. Both of them disabled, and need me. As soon as the situation comes back to "normal" the nurses might come back. Normally, I have two nurses working by shifts, but now they choose to be with their families.
