We have been given a treasure! God has taken from Himself and given unto us!
2 Corinthians 4:6-7
For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
Do you realize the magnitude of this treasure you have been given? It is the gift of God given to you! A gift that you did nothing to deserve! He freely gave just because He loved you, beloved!
Oh what love!
1 John 3:1
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not.
This treasure we have been given is to be given to others, not just kept for ourselves! We are His ministers, sent out to show unto others that they too can receive this treasure!
2 Corinthians 5:18-21
And all things are of God, Who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the Word of reconciliation.
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For He hath made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
In this world there are givers and takers! Which will you choose to be? If we are to imitate our Father, and reflect His life, we will be givers; and you can’t out give God! In giving you will receive blessings beyond what this world can give!
Luke 6:38
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
It really is more blessed to give than to receive! Jesus knew this; He gave His very life for you!
Acts 20:35
I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the Words of the LORD Jesus, how He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Whatever it is you would have others do unto you — you do unto them! The world says the opposite of that, but God’s way is not the way of the world!
Do you need mercy; give mercy! Do you need love; give love! Do you need forgiveness; give forgiveness! Give as the Father gave to you! Give even to those who hate, and curse you!
Luke 6:30-35
Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for He is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
We have been given the treasure of His love and mercy! Don’t keep it to yourself — give it to others!
The scripture we started with began with these Words that tell us why we have been given this treasure by our Father — That our faith would stand in the power of God not man!
1 Corinthians 2:5
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
We have His life giving powerful treasure in us, and powerful weapons to live this life! Thank You, LORD!
Romans 8:11
But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.
2 Corinthians 10:3-4
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Be a giver, beloved — Give His treasure away today!

You can fill your life with every desire of your flesh, but what are you seeking that will outlast this life?
David prayed this prayer!
Psalm 27:4
One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
Jesus spoke to the people about the importance of seeking what will live into eternity — Him, and His Kingdom!
We have so many reassurances in His Word; so many Words that we can hold onto during times of difficulty! What a wonderful treasure we have been given!
My spouse and I were reflecting recently on just how many things we have gone through in our lives individually, and as a family. The LORD has never once left our side. He has always sustained us through the trials we faced!
This verse from the hymn, ‘Amazing Grace’ came to mind again this morning as I prayed!
“Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; ‘tis grace hath brought me safe thus far; and grace will lead me home.”
Every child is a precious and sacred gift from God!
I will never stop praying that every word President @realDonaldTrump spoke below on January, 24, 2020 will become a reality in our Country and in his next administration!

“All of us here today understand an eternal truth, every child is a precious and sacred gift from God. Together we must protect, cherish, and defend the dignity and the sanctity of every human life.

When we see the image of a baby in the womb, we glimpse the majesty of God’s creation. When we hold a newborn in our arms, we know the endless love that each child brings to a family. When we watch a child grow, we see the splendor that radiates from each human soul.
