hey @mattspetalnick, @DPsaledakis, @mariannaparraga, do you think it's worth mentioning that the same US State Department reimposing these sanctions ostensibly because they love democracy so much, also arm, fund and back fascist dictatorships that have no elections at all?

How the US doesn't impose sanctions on Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Morocco, Kuwait, and in fact funds and arms them and trains their secret police to torture and rape dissidents in their dungeons? Western media class journalism is when you just regurgitate the most absurd, deranged US State Department propaganda, and launder it into normal common-sense fact. Reuters said it, so they must actually really care about elections and democracy in Venezuela!
what makes this even more grotesque and depraved is that "sanctions" is a euphemism for an economic terror campaign that has killed hundreds of thousand of people and destroyed millions of lives. This is what rags like Reuters launder every single day
