2 This recognition by them needs to include the development and implementation of a strategy to take down the Russian state and steer its territories to a post Russian Federation future.
3 The most important elements are a) an absolute commitment to driving Russia from Ukraine and ensuring Ukraine is a military and economic power house b) triggering internal insurrections in Russia to create post RF states
4 c) a soft power approach to dismantling Russian cultural hegemony and control over historical discourse. Primarily moving artists who were historically marginalised to the centre and building a market for them while unmaking Russian myths about Rus and genocide denial
5 the latter will be a long project. Even some Ukrainian historians in the west still cling to the myth of a common East Slavic origin for Russians, Ukrainians and Belarusians even if they reject RU fantasies concerning Rus
6 similarly the myth of the exceptional quality of Russian literature will take years to dismantle. Wherever you look even in popular TV dramas or films you see the illusion of Russian literary excellence being reinforced
7 while Ukrainian national identity and culture are largely marginalised and stigmatised in culture and academia. This is changing but it will be a generational shift.
8 so for now lobby our leaders to commit to destroying the Russian Federation and for their better understanding convey to them the intrinsically genocidal stance of Russian culture towards Ukraine. ENDS
