BREAKING: Plymouth Housing's Lewiston-Scargo claims another victim. Mike Matzick's lifeless body was found inside this "low barrier" apartment complex in downtown Seattle. His family suspects he died of a meth overdose because staff allegedly turn a blind eye to drug use.
Matzick was one of our courageous whistleblowers who helped expose the deplorable conditions inside this problematic housing project back in February. It's led to more scrutiny for Plymouth and calls for immediate change.
I've reached out to Plymouth Housing staff for the number of residents who have died of drug overdoses this year in their facilities. So far no response. Since our devastating story aired, CEO Karen Lee has been on a crisis management tour.
The city of Redmond is now entertaining the possibility of allowing Plymouth Housing to set up a low barrier complex in the downtown core. Neighbors want housing for the homeless but are against projects with a free for all open air drug culture.

UPDATE: Thursday afternoon, King County Court found Rickesha Denise Overton incompetent to stand trial. That simply means she will now be getting psychiatric care at a state institution and then re-evaluated after 90 days. The case and charges are still active.
Next court date is July 11.
WARNING GRAPHIC: I've obtained surveillance video showing the horrific death of Alisia DeCoteau at the Ellis Court Apartments in Seattle last month.
Rickesha Denise Overton was charged with Murder in the First Degree and Assault in the Second Degree. She has a competency hearing today.
Court documents show the women knew each other and were friends at one point. But witnesses say they were arguing that evening. As for the shooting, the surveillance video shows Overton's gun jamming as she allegedly tries to fire more shots. Cops say she also pointed the pistol at horrified neighbors before officers arrived.
The suspect initially told officers, “She came into my apartment. It was self-defense. I had to shoot her.”
But later told police, “She’s not even dead.”
“I don’t care if you give me life. I just want to go to Alisia’s funeral,” Overton added.
EXCLUSIVE: Friday morning, Bellevue landlord Jaskaran Singh says four Bellevue cops tried to serve another Temporary Protection Order against him.
Problem is, Singh is out of town and saw all this unfold from his mobile phone which is connected to cameras outside his house. Singh says he called the police department to find out what was going on. That's when he learned serial squatter Sang Kim is behind this second attempt.
Once again, King County Bar Association's Housing Justice Project is helping Kim weaponize the legal system and stifle Singh's free speech. Is this how taxpayer dollars should be used?
Every single elected official in Washington State should be concerned about what's happening here. Who's holding HJP accountable?
Regardless, another protest is scheduled on Saturday at 11:30am outside the rental property. Organizers say the goal is to publicly shame and pressure Kim to leave. Singh is asking for even more people to attend this rally.
Earlier this week, a King County court commissioner dismissed the first Temporary Protection Order filed against Singh. It was an easy decision since Kim and an attorney with HJP showed up more than an hour late and missed the hearing.
Court documents also show Kim is the aggressor and allegedly making threats against Singh's children. A text thread reveals Kim is basically saying he plans on filing a police report to ruin any chance of Singh's kids getting into college. New low.
Thursday afternoon, angry protesters led by Bellevue landlord Jaskaran Singh finally confronted lawyers at King County Bar Association's Housing Justice Project. HJP is the legal aid group helping serial squatter Sang Kim evade eviction.
But HJP managing attorney Edmund Witter was not in and a man working the counter slammed the door on Singh and his family.
The reality is, Kim's days are numbered. But at this point, Singh says he is going after HJP and wants to help reform the broken system which is crippling mom & pop landlords.
Edmund Witter is running the show at HJP. He's a registered lobbyist with the King County Bar Association and is connected to numerous progressive far-left causes in WA State. I've tried to reach Witter numerous times this year but he remains elusive and has not returned any of my calls for comment.
Witter has been aligned with former Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant on numerous tenant landlord issues and has benefitted from this relationship.
Here we go again. Far-left activist Iris Bordman just filed a Temporary Protection Order against me. She's one of six protesters arrested and charged for disrupting a Seattle City Council meeting in February.
On Thursday, I was on assignment for @FrontlinesTPUSA and covering her first appearance hearing in Municipal Court. 🧵👇
Without providing any concrete evidence, Bordman is now accusing me of "harassment" and claims I am not an accredited journalist. Once again, a King County Commissioner believed her lies and now I have to fight this court later this month.
Here's the crazy part. I never approached Bordman in court. Instead, I went straight to her public defender for comment on the situation. After covering hundreds of arraignments in my career, I know the process. Defendants are rarely advised to speak.
BREAKING: Dozens of migrants with children have taken over the tennis court at Garfield Park in Seattle's Central District. They're demanding more housing and resources while they wait for asylum hearings. Immigrant activists with translators just wrapped up a press conference. I'll have a full recap for @FrontlinesTPUSA.
This is all being orchestrated by far-left activists with Stop The Sweeps Seattle and various "mutual aid" groups. They are the ones who guided the migrants to this location.
This group of mostly Venezuelans and Angolans started off at Riverton Park United Methodist Church in Tukwila. During the cold snap in January, they protested at Seattle City Hall and convinced Mayor Harrell to pay for temporary motel stays in Kent.
