Get the sense that we talk about on-campus harassment and intimidation differently when the subjects are Jewish students?

In 2017, an anonymous jerk put flyers with a Confederate flag and cotton around American University's campus. They read "Huzzah for Dixie" or similar.
🧵 Image
2/ The university went into emergency response mode, treating these flyers as a criminal threat. It published CCTV video and immediately asked the public for help in identifying the man who posted the racist flyers.

3/ An APB - called "CRIME ALERT" - went out for his arrest.

/3
4/ The @nytimes covered the incident.

The words "free speech" don't appear in the article. No one considered the idea that these racist flyers represent protected speech.

No organizations or talking heads rushed to defend the poster's speech rights.

5/NYT:

"This is at least the second time this year that racist symbols were discovered on the school’s campus. In May, bananas were found hanging from nooses on campus...The F.B.I. said at the time that it was helping the university investigate."

NOTE: The FBI was called.
6/ The University President issued this statement:

“I ask you to join me in standing together and show that we will not be intimidated,” she said. “AU will respond strongly to attempts designed to harm and create fear... When one of us is attacked, all of us are attacked.”
7/ But what about free speech? Maybe the pendulum is swinging back, and campuses are now becoming places where you can call for the death of Jews, display insulting depictions of the Prophet Muhammed, hang Confederate flags and use the 'N-word' without repercussions?

No way.
8/ Campus speech is as restrictive as it has ever been.

There are simply two sets of rules on American campuses. One for the favored: anything resembling intimidation and harassment here is punished instantly.
9/ A second standard exists for the disfavored. Intimidation and harassment of the disfavored are loudly defended as free speech.

Jewish students fall into the latter category.

Jewish students know it.

We all know it.

America threw more preventative "mental health resources" at Gen Z than at any generation prior.

Therapeutic techniques guided how these kids were parented. Our kids were treated to "Social Emotional Learning," and "Empathy Education," and "Restorative Justice" at school.

/1
Schools hired large psych and counseling staffs to support them.

Kids had more access to therapists and psychiatric meds than any prior generation.

And these interventions were destigmatized to a degree that would have been unthinkable just two generations ago.

/2
Did this unprecedented investment succeed? Did we produce a happy, healthy, strong generation, eager and ready to take on the challenges of adulthood?

Quite the opposite. The entire project didn't simply fail - it backfired spectacularly.

This is Alexandra Orbuch, Jewish editor of Princeton’s conservative newspaper. A male student shoves a Palestinian flag in the way of her camera, then blocks her way, forcing her down a step.

/1
According to Orbuch, one protester pushed her, stepped on her foot, trailed her closely when she tried to leave, in a form of harassment known as “bird dogging.”

This male student doesn’t bother to hide his face. He knows he’ll never be held accountable by his university.

/2
Imagine if this type of harassment of a female student had occurred at a Pride Rally or Take Back the Night event. It is unthinkable that the university would stand idly by.

Here is Harvard's statement on the invasion of Ukraine, from Feb 2022. It stakes out an incredibly clear moral position.

Harvard raised the Ukrainian flag on campus in solidarity.

On October 7, 2023, the Jewish state was invaded - its civilians subjected to unimaginable atrocities.

Harvard's president Claudine Gay equivocated for days on whether even to condemn Hamas, much less its joyful celebrants on her own campus.

/2
Meanwhile, Jewish students on her campus contend with the dozens of campus organizations - hundreds of students - engage in ongoing public celebration of the massacre.

HOW LEFTIST MEDIA LIES:

My book was published this week in Israel, a country 1/50th the population of the US, where Amazon has little presence. Bowing to LGBTQ+ activist pressure, the two largest book chains refused to carry the book, which made it hard to buy in Israel.

Nonetheless, hundreds immediately registered (and paid) to attend my talk in Tel Aviv.

/2
Next, PRIDE bullied two large venues in Tel Aviv to cancel my talk, threatening to boycott those venues for all of PRIDE month if they allowed me to speak.

Gender Spin Zone claim:

*Gender surgery is never (or almost never) performed on minors.*

Here, Yale's Dr. Meredithe McNamara testifies to the Florida's Medical Board that top surgery on minors is "extremely rare"
/1
Watch the clip. She claims she has never even heard a patient express the desire for top surgery. That's how rare it is.

/2
But a recently published JAMA Pediatrics research letter showed that in 2019, there were nearly 500 minors in the U.S. between ages of 13-17 who underwent top surgery -- in hospital-owned surgical centers alone.

Thread 🧵:

If I were advising the Democrats on how to win in 2024, I would tell them that their best path to victory involves baiting the Republicans to nominate Trump. He splits the GOP coalition in half and vastly energizes Democratic turnout. /1
How do you bait Republicans to nominate Trump? By nominating Biden. Trump's desire for a rematch in the general against Biden will be irresistible to him. And Republicans will assure themselves that Trump can beat Biden, given Biden's sub-basement favorability numbers. /2
Trump also knows that no political party in American history has denied the nomination to an incumbent president who sought it. So the chance of a Democratic primary challenger beating Joe is very low. /3
