We are told in the Word of God to always rejoice — But we are also told there are times we should not rejoice!
Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the LORD alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Solomon wrote that there is a time to rejoice and a time to mourn!
Ecclesiastes 3:1,4
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: [4] A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.
The scriptures also tell us some times we should not rejoice! This can be difficult, but when we have the heart of our Father, we can do it!
We are not to rejoice when our enemies fall! Our Father says that He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked!
Do you feel that you been wronged? How will you respond? The natural thing for a person who feels they have been wronged to do is to lash out at the person who has wronged them — but Christians are not to do the natural thing!
We are told to do what is against human nature! We are told to take the wrong!
1 Corinthians 6:7
Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
Jesus was reviled, but He did not retaliate. If ever a person was wronged — it was Jesus! But, He humbled Himself and took the wrong, even to the point of death!
Job was a man who feared God! God said that Job was perfect and upright! Job hated evil and he avoided it!
So trusted was Job in the eyes of the LORD, that He knew Job would withstand the strongest of testing, and stand firm in his integrity, and in his allegiance to God!
Job 1:1
There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
Are you willing to be a soldier for Jesus Christ? The way of the Cross is not easy! It will mean being willing to lose all for Him and His cause!
Remember the cost He was willing to pay? He left heaven to suffer and die for us!
Being His soldier will mean denying your own personal comfort and pleasures, in order to serve Him!
2 Timothy 2:3-4
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him Who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
How this Country and this world needs righteous leaders! Leaders who turn to God’s Word for every decision they make! Not leaders who test the political winds to see what is popular!
Proverbs 29:2
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
A nation that is ruled by ungodly men will decline, and it will not go well for the people!
When we look around at our world today, and especially when we look at our own Country we see how very true this is!
America was started as a nation whose leaders revered and served God; men who sought to build this nation upon His commandments, but it has become an abomination!
Only His Word has the power to transform lives! Only His Word has every single thing we need to live a Godly life!
2 Peter 1:2-4
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our LORD, According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
