THREAD 🧵 debunking his claims on DEVDASI with proper historical evidences.

This charlatan @Haqiqatjou after debating a random novice is celebrating like a 4th std kid. Checked the part of his video where he claimed Devdasi is prostitution.

He didn’t show a single evidence of his claim but randomly quoted a verse from Narada Smriti with a FAKE translation. The verse neither mention temples nor mention Devdasis.

Infact the history of devdasi actually exposes how pervert Mohamedans were which i will show in this thread.
This (Image 1) is the actual verse of 12.78 & 12.79 of Naradasmriti.

The passage doesn’t even talk about Temple or devdasis.

The verse lists different types of women including veshyas(prostitutes) & not devdasis who are fit for intercourse & the immediate next verse says that having intercouse with them is not morally correct as it incurs sin(dosha)

But ofcrs cant expect illiterates like @Haqiqatjou to do this much research.Image
Image
The sanskrit term “Devdasi” or Tamil “Devar Adiyal” simply translates to a woman engaged in Service of God. U like Islam women were treated with a lot of respect. Hence In Hindu culture, a Devdasi was a pious position for a woman who engaged in different activities of a temple & were considered married to the temple deity.

Their work included, cleaning temples, taking care of the deity & sing devotional songs only.Image
Contrary to @Haqiqatjou claims, during Hindu period maintaining discipline was mandatory for them.

Far from being forced into prostitution, it was considered a strict offence for any man to look at her lecherously coz she was considered the wife of God himself. Image
I don’t see @Haqiqatjou who claims to be a scholar showing any contemporary source.

He probably doesn’t even know that there are literal inscriptions in the Raja Rajeswhara Temple, Tanjore Temple itself where it says there were 400 Devdasis in the temple whose position was so important only next to the priests of the temple themselves.Image
@Haqiqatjou That is how much Hinduism respected women in Hindu period by literally giving her as much importance as priests unlike abrahamics who will never elevate any woman to the position of a Priest or prophet.
Infact, Devdasis were quite affluent under the patronage of Hindu kings like cholas or pallavas. They were betowed with a lot of wealth and land. There was no sign of ostracism.

Now these is what scholarly research implies, not claiming something without any evidence feom any authentic source.Image
@Haqiqatjou Scholars identified devdasis to hold either of this position listed below. And no hint of prostitution was by “Temple dancers” were found in these inscriptions.

This is Hindu period for you. Now will talk about Mohamedan period next. Image
Now we will see the comparison with Mohamedan Period.

The esteemed status of Devdasis that a Hindu society ensured, waned only under the islamic and British period.

Thats how disgustingly disturbing your cult is @Haqiqatjou which has no respect for women unlike Hindu society. The filh in OUR HINDU society is brought by you.Image
The Mohamedan invasion of Bharat was the first gateway to subjugation of Devdasis- the same women who were respected in Hindu society.

The proof is given By an Islamic scholar Al-Beruni.

He describes how Devdasis lost patronage of Hindu kings & protection of Brahman men and Mohamedan rulers used them for their benefits.Image
@Haqiqatjou After the onslaught of Mohamedan culture, it was British who exploited Devdasis.

The end of Royal patronage and capture of temple treasury reduced these woman into prostitution.

The women who were given rights second to a priest were forced to become entertainers. Image
@Haqiqatjou British Missionaries, who did not see free educated women in christian society couldn’t believe women had so much rights in Hindu society and based on their victorian morality they started branding free women as (w) hores.

It was only Hindu culture that respected women. Image
@Haqiqatjou Thus Christian preachers made dubious claims about Devdasis. Hence colonial sources are definitely not a mirror of what Hindu society actually was. Hindu society can only be judged with contemporary sources Image
Listing some famous Devdasis who are world famous for their talent in Art. And definitely arent prostitutes by any means.

This is the famous 7th generation Devdasi, Balasaraswati, a Bharatnatyam dancer famous all over the world & has been awarded with Padma Bibhushan which is the 3rd highest civilian award.

Indian government respected her by making a postal stamp with her picture as shown below.

From which angle she looks like a prostitute to you @Haqiqatjou . Claiming her prostitute is no less than claiming ur Ayesha with the same abomination.Image
Another famous Devdasi Veenai Dhanammal, is considered the torch bearer of Carnatic Music which goes by her name.

Hindu society respect women to this level that they could progress to be this famous and have postal stamps commemorating them.

Does she look like a prostitute to you? @Haqiqatjou .

People who never respected women wont understand how much respect these women enjoy in a free Hindu society.Image
@Haqiqatjou Devdasi M.S Subbulakshmi, the nightingale of Carnatic music was awarded Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award. She lived until 2004 which isnt much long ago. Indian Govt commemorated her with postal stamp.

Show me where Islamic society give so much respect to women. Image

Do u know?

Sometime back Amir Khan's son Junaid made a propaganda movie, criticizing social practices of Hinduism.

In the movie Junaid's character questions why Hindu women wear Ghunghat.

Have u seen them questioning Burqa the same way? Image
Image
Image
Of course the father son duo will never question the practice of Burqa but want Hindu women uncovered.

I don't have to tell you the history why Mohamedans always want Hindu women uncovered.

Then he goes on to question the harmless Hindu practice of Agni-ahuti implying it's a superstition.

Never seen them questioning their evil practices of Halala though. Image

Is it a new trend now to paint Portuguese colonization as romantic?

Cute.

Meanwhile in Goa, the Portuguese Inquisition was a 250-year-long horror show of public burnings, mutilations, and mass conversions.

Let’s break the fantasy. Image
When Portuguese Inquisitors landed in Goa, their mission was clear: uproot Paganism and replace it with Catholicism.

The natives—proud and rooted in Dharma— obviously resisted.

So what did the church do? Image
Jesuit saint Francis Xavier converted thousands of native fishermen—not through love, but fear.

Threats to burn their boats.
Starvation.
Brutal deaths.

Imagine losing your livelihood, your life or your faith.

How romantic. 🙃 Image

1. The concept of Ahimsa comes from Vedas itself before any other religion existed. Ahimsa is considered a virtue in many Hindu scriptures.

2. There are Many Verses in Vedas that suggest the prohibition of Cow slaughter. Image
The concept of Ahimsa was first mentioned in Rig veda. Image

Here is a verse from Chandogya Upanishad that lists Ahimsa as a virtue.

Someone whose source is only secondary sources like Wendy Doniger & D.N Jha ofcrs has not studied any primary sources like this. Image

"Hindus used to eat beef before the Muslim invasion" ?????

Meanwhile Ibn Battuta:
"Killing or eating a cow was strictly forbidden; anyone caught doing it should be punished with death"

This is how Bharat has always functioned.Image
Manu needhi Cholan ran a chariot on his own son to give justice to a cow whose calf his son killed mistakenly.

Hindus haven't spared their own children when it came to the protection of cows.

That's how much Hindus Rever cows. Image
While Ellalan cholan sacrificed his son, Bira Gowda gave his own life to protect cows. Image

Do you know?

Bengal once produced a fabric so fine, you’d “scarcely know what it was you had in your hand.”
-Tavernier

The British didn’t just destroy the muslin industry-they mutilated weavers, severing their thumbs to cripple India’s global trade.

A Tale of Colonial crime🧵 Image
Once upon a time, Bengal’s muslin was coveted across the world. From Romans and Chinese to Indonesians, Arabs, and Jews—everyone swore by Indian muslin. Image
Image
From Megasthenes to the Periplus of the Erythraean Sea, Indian muslin was widely documented and admired.

Its export made Bengal immensely wealthy.

That was... until 1757.Image

I am noticing, many today, demand that Brahmins give up their janeu in the name of caste unity—calling it a “symbol of oppression.”

Brahmins didn’t give up their Janeu even when their lives were at stake.

They gave their life protecting this sacred thread.

THREAD 🧵Image
In Kashmir, Sikandar Butshikan issued edicts asking Hindus to either give up their Janeu & convert to Islam or get slaughtered.

Some weak Hindus converted. Their progenies are terrorists today, while most Brahmins chose death over giving up their Janeu.Image
Result:

Mohamedans butchered them and collected 7 mounds of Janeu from their body (One mound equals to 37 kg approx) & burnt to ashes.Image
