A big thread on supporting Democrats. You may have seen my new series of videos called 'In the Hot Seat' on @meidastouch. So far I've interviewed 14 Dem candidates for House, Senate, and Governor across the country from Colin Allred in TX to Callie Barr in MI and more... (1/12)

From Andy Kim in NJ to Caroline Gleich in UT. They're incredible candidates in it for the right reasons. The biggest difference I see is usually funding. Some are functioning with sophisticated well funded campaigns. Many are trying to scrape by. (2/12)

I'm thrilled to get them attention like the amazing Chuck Hubbard a former local journalist taking on the awful MAGA Virginia Foxx in NC. But in the end I see they need help to put on a good race. It is a must. (3/12)

Why? You have to pay a field director to organize people to knock doors. You need signs. You have to get ads on TV and in some markets thats tens of thousands of dollars. Did you know a really good ad can cost more than $20,000 even to make? (4/12)

Research shows that the average House Congressional race needs at least $200,000 to be competitive. Money to hire a campaign manager. Money to travel districts that can be as big as 50,000 Square miles like Adam Frisch in Colorado-03. (5/12)

Here is what will hurt: last cycle 126 Democratic nominees for Congress didn't ever break that dollar threshold. Another 23 Republicans didn't even have an opponent. I'm doing everything I can do to break that cycle. One is the Hot Seat's the other is Forgotten Democrats. (6/12)

.@forgottendems is a fairly new org leveraging the experience of @ISTBlueOhio and @BlueMissouri at state level but for House candidates. With a special FEC earmark our donations are split between nominees that need it the most, first. We call it the bathtub model. (7/12)

Based on available funds, and needs of nominees, we are set an amount and give them a check to meet that threshold. Let's say its $20K and they have only raised $15K...we give them $5K. It's worked in Ohio and with your help it can work nationally. (8/12)

But, we need you. A small monthly donation (or maybe a big one time) funds candidates directly and a small amount allows us to help them with consulting and other support. Your money goes to multiple candidates who need it the most....first! Its crowdfunding essentially. (9/12)

In addition, we have monthly town halls, very few emails, and as we get to election season the opportunities to help candidates as volunteers.
