FT, Bloomberg, others write about Russian plotting attacks in Europe.
This is a list of 11 recent incidents released to public, proven or suspected of Russian connection. Russia is not plotting but already executing attacks on Europe.
Perhaps, it is time to wake up? 1/

I quote FT: "As ever with Russia, it’s wise not to look for a single explanation of why they are doing anything. There’s always a combination of things going on,” said Giles. / ft.com/content/c88509…
“These pinprick attacks we’ve seen so far are of course to create disruption, but they can also be used for disinformation. And then there is what Russia learns from these attacks if they want to immobilise Europe for real . . . They’re practice runs.” /X
There is a new piece by the Economist that lists a number of additional incidents /

Did the months long delay in the U.S. aid made the Russian advance in Kharkiv possible?
Yes, absolutely!
But what else has contributed to the recent success of Russians in Kharkiv? 1/
Max Boot offers three more reasons. One is false, the other two are on the spot. 2/
First, the Russian success is attributed to improved combat performance (e.g. using motorcycles for rapid advances, heavy use of "glide bombs" to pulverize Ukrainian lines, and electronic warfare jamming Ukrainian drones and rockets.
Russia’s attempts to escalate the conflict in Ukraine are becoming increasingly evident. It has launched a new offensive north of Kharkiv, while Zelensky now warns of significant activity further north in Sumy and Chernyhiv 1/
What has happened? The US delayed support for Ukraine, driven by domestic political reasons and a fear of provoking Russia. 2/
This cautious approach was based on the hope that Russia would exercise self-restraint if the US withheld certain weapons, such as long-range ATACMS, and imposed restrictions on their use within Russian territory. 3/
They will push back Russian air office and will deny it the ability to launch large guided bombs. Once the bombs are neutralized and Ukraine gets artillery rounds from the aid package, the balance changes 1/
In the meantime, things are getting tougher in Ukraine.
In his yesterday’s evening address, Zelensky has asked Ukrainians to remain vigilant, pay attention to info, not emotions, and believe in our armed forces. He was direct about the severity of the situation 3/
The General Staff of Ukraine Armed Forces admits that Russia has now deployed substantive resources - up to 5 battalions - to the attack in Kharkiv and has achieved tactical success
The U.S. continues to be “convinced that Ukraine is capable of effectively holding the front line in the east”.
Yet, it realizes that “the months-long delay in approving additional funding and sending weapons to Ukraine from the United States "came at a price." 3/
Multiple OSINT reports that Russia is making some progress north of Kharkiv. However, Russian troops have not yet reached the main line of properly fortified Ukrainian positions. 1/
A typical report today reads as
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy occupied the towns of Strilecha, Krasne, Pylyna, and Borysivka. Fighting continues in Morokhovets, Oliinykove, Lukiantsi, Zelene and Hlyboke 2/
In the Vovchansk sector, the enemy occupied Pletenivka and Ohirtseve, fighting continues in Hatyshche, Buhruvatka, Starytsia. 3/
Russia has invaded Georgia in 2008. It also bomber civilians in Georgia for the first time. Then, the world didn’t notice. If Russia were stopped then, we would not have Russian atrocities in Syria, annexation of Crimea and full scale invasion of Ukraine. 2/
We - the world - were not watching and listening then, we hoped that peace can be negotiated with Russia, that Russia can be reasoned with, that this is not our fight. We didn’t want to believe that Russia is very strategic, patient and ruthless 3/
