They do tend to do them naturally. That’s why it takes external social engineering to steer men and women away from gender roles that are tied to their different brain makeups and biology.
For example, in the 1950s and 60s, John D. Rockefeller began promoting the idea of a population crisis. And the societal prescriptions he pushed to address this alleged problem all had the aim of ensuring women would have fewer children: namely, contraception, abortion access, and steering women away from homemaking by ending things like home ec classes in public schools so women were not encouraged towards motherhood and marriage until later ages (when fertility is past its peak).
Rockefeller and his cohort also launched programs to encourage women to pursue higher education, including masters and PhDs. This feminist philosophy took deep root in the institutions so that we can see that women are earning the majority of degrees and men are struggling.
The marriage rate has plummeted and, as Rockefeller strategized, so has the birth rate, even though surveys tell us women are not having as many children as they want to. And they say they are not able to stay home with their children as much as they would prefer.
We can also see that women’s happiness has declined now relative to men. Up until the 1970s, women reported being happier than men, now they are much less happy. Anxiety and depression in both sexes has spiked, but much more so in women.
So the artificial manipulation has worked, but at the expense of women (and men’s) well-being.
The fact that Muslim jihadists are killing Christians for sport in Nigeria is getting next to no attention from American political leaders. Let it not be said that it’s getting no attention from American Christians. I’m sad I didn’t see this until today, but here is one way to help.
I never see the evangelical “abuse crisis” quantified in hard statistics or even in the way of broad specifics at all. It tends to be individual stories. Many are terrible and should be lamented & addressed. But crisis suggests something particularly widespread and systemic. I’ve never seen anything to justify that.
Essentially “apocalypse” is a media narrative that no one questions because you’re a bad person if you do.
That’s not to see there haven’t been egregious cases. But calling it a crisis in the church has not, so far, been merited in terms of incidence rate.
Like look at the quoted post so many are cheering—it says essentially nothing. It’s just generic invective against the church but is being treated as profound.
Southern Baptists should be aware, if they are not already, that @LeatherwoodERLC, head of the ERLC, the lobbying arm of the Southern Baptist Convention, has been leading group to block the release of the shooter's writings. Leatherwood told NYT that the group has told their attorneys to "leave no stone unturned…to prevent any of these writings…from ever seeing the light of day.”
Also worth noting there is nothing in the pages Crowder released that would aid copycat crimes. Shooter's primary motivation, at least in these pages, appears to be racial hatred against white people.
The Daily Wire is part of a group of media outlets suing for the release of the shooter's writings.
Edited to add, Leatherwood lobbied for TN gun control bill on the basis of his connection to Covenant school (his children attend). So his involvement in ensuring the shooter's manifesto (and possible motive) is suppressed, are relevant.
For those asking, here is non-paywalled reprint of my original Francis Collins article. It details his funding/ support of transgender research, including experimentation on children. Also his support/funding for experimentation using aborted baby remains. illinoisfamily.org/religious/how-…
Please note he declares himself a firm LGBTQ ally. Also, here is my coverage of his support for forcing people to get vaccinated under threat of job loss. dailywire.com/news/exclusive…
Here is an excellent thread from @BrandonMShow on Collins' record on trans experimentation on children.
Meet Caitlin Campbell, the small business owner in the viral video. She grew up in Lynchburg, VA before moving to Toronto. She started Street Brew Coffee w/ her dad. Those who guessed she’s an activist were right. She DOES advocate a social cause...
Helping the homeless get back on their feet, particularly through job training and employment. A part of Street Brew’s proceeds go to helping the homeless get “back into society by providing job skills, housing and a bank account.”
Their long term plans are to “bring supplies and serve food to the homeless” in the evenings. Eventually, they hope to have a brick and mortar location that will employ people looking to transition out of homelessness. You can order here to help:
These guys have such unequal standards. They claim deep concern about abuse but cheer as ethical the leader who used clergy-penitent privilege to avoid a grand jury subpoena to testify regarding a church staffer charged w/ multiple counts of first-degree sexual abuse of boys.
These are public records that were not included in Houston Chronicle’s Abuse of Faith series or Guidepost report though both knew about it. Why would they not include the most significant and best documented case that was more recent (2004) than others? newspapers.com/article/the-co…
And when a Baptist reporter wrote about it in 2018, Ezell’s team implied they would sue her. The double standards and hypocrisy are maddening.
