I am here at the @GaRepublicans Convention.
Day 2.
The day starts with a banger of a video from Trump to pump up the crowd.
It's a highlight reel of his greatest encouraging statements.

First up @JoshMcKoon reminds us of why we are here
To nominate @realDonaldTrump for Pres.

Josh tells us his goal, when elected last year, was to keep Trump out of trial in GA on election day this year.
Goal met.

@JoshMcKoon @realDonaldTrump Josh said, when he was elected last year, only one member on the State Election Board stood for Election integrity. Dr Johnson.
Now, there are three.

Did you know there were 400k Registered Hispanic Voters in GA?
It's time to reach out to that community and bring them to the voting booth.

The speaker representing YRs reminds the Delegates that if you want to reach young people, they don't want to spend their Sat mornings fighting over resolutions.
They want to work to elect candidates.

The speaker representing the Jewish coalition says she was sent here bc we are a swing state and we need to elect the most pro Israel president in history.

The RJC is giving $5 million + to Trump.

The Federation of Republican women are sending 1000s of women to GA bc it is a swing state.

We are going to do what we need to do to win in Nov.

The speaker from the Leadership Institute says it's time to work to win.

Dr Janice Johnston from the SEB gets at standing ovation when introduced.

She says she does her best to ensure the elections are transparent, fair and accurate.

She says there are continuing changes as they move from the SOS.
Funding and hiring their own investigator
They have a new executive director.

She is thankful for the new election Legislation.

The numbers don't match.
She says she is an old surgeon.
When she operated, they counted everything 3 times.
When things didn't match, they didn't leave the operating room.

It took 3 years to hear the case.
She apologizes to Rossi and Moncla for it to have taken so long.

She says the election is very important this year.
We need to stay involved.
We have the best candidate for POTUS Donald J Trump.

The leader of the Rural Voter Taskforce says he is mobilizing teams all over GA to GOTV with low propensity voters.

He says we HAVE to COME TOGETHER to WIN.

Amen.

He says if they raise the participation of low propensity voters in rural GA by 3/4 of 1 % we can win GA.

Speaker from the Frederick Douglas Foundation.
He also represents Only Citizens Vote org.
Tried to get a Constitutional Amendment on the ballot to say only Citizens can vote in GA.
Dems voted against.

The Frederick Douglas Foundation encourages Church Leaders to speak to their congregations about voting their faith.

He calls himself a 21st Century Abolitionist.
The original Abolisionists led with their faith and made a difference. If we do that today we can win.

I met him at the 14th CD and voted for him yesterday.

The Teenage Republican chair is speaking.
He says he took the time to learn what it meant to be a Republican.
He learned Dems don't care about people.
Says he is working to get the Youth Involved.

Burt Jones is up.

He says he is Lt Gov because of the activists.
He wants to thank his friends at the AJC who always write great things about him that he loves to read to his mom.
And for attacking the Assembly for being Conservative.

He thanks Dr Jan Johnston for her hard work on the SEB and now she has fighters to help her.
He says they don't get a lot of cooperation from the SOS.
Primary is over on Tuesday.
Then it's time to come together.

We have the opportunity to see both POTUS candidates resume.

One is so much better than the other.
Sleepy Joe Biden.
High inflation
Open border
Not respected in the world
Have to get Trump back in the WH.

He says our values are what is important.
We can win on these issues.

Next up Insurance Commissioner John King.

Our mission is to fire Joe Biden.
Time to get the real leader back in the WH. Trump.

Says Biden needs to get back to his fulltime Job.
Taking care of Hunter.

It's a time for choosing.
Will we bring our nation back from the brink?

Next up Labor Commissioner Bruce Thompson.
2 months ago he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Says we are in the fight for our life. Not about his fight.
It's for our country.

The fight is bigger than us.
We need to grow our party, not replace our party.

Amen to that.

Talks about Duncan saying he 'left the Republican party.'
Says he was never a Republican. And the Democrats are welcome to have him.
Says this is bigger than us.
It's about the needs of the people.

Thompson says I encourage you to go out and grab a stone.
And you are welcome to throw a stone if you are perfect. No one is 100% perfect.

He says Trump is not perfect, but he loves his country. Will stand for his country.
That is what is important.

Thompson gets a standing Ovation as he leaves the stage.

Rep Loudermilk is up next.

The world can be against us. But keep your eyes on the cause. Not the circumstance.
It's not about ourselves or our petty differences. It's about our freedom.

He talks about his special committee to investigate what happened on J6.
Has faced every obstacle imaginable.
All agencies. Hidden documents.
Presses forward anyway.

When someone in Government doesn't keep documents, it's because they want to hide something that is bad for them.

Loudermilk has the SS transcribed interviews from the DHS.

The J6 committee didn't interview the driver of the vehicle until Nov. Even though Cassidy Hutchinson made the accusation in June.
They didn't ask him about Trump grabbing the wheel.
But he testified to it anyway at the end. Said IT NEVER Happened.

It makes it easier to fire Federal Employees who don't do their jobs well.

Tells a story of her daughter losing 1st place her freshman year in state softball tournament
How she took that loss and used it to win and change.
That is where we are now.
Since we lost in 2020 that defines us.
So much has been lost since then.

Goes through all the issues facing our country, and how can it be that the #1 priority of Congress to send money to Ukraine.

Talks about the Democrats GND. How they want to control cars, power and digital currency.

She congratulates the crowd for fighting for election integrity.
She doesn't want to see GA turned into the battery belt. She wants it to stay the Bible Belt.

MtG says infighting means iron sharpens iron.
It will make us stronger.
Says Biden picked GA for the first debate.
It's an important state.

Says we have to look forward to 2026. The Dems will come after the Gov.
GA is the economic hub of the South.

We have to be strong. We have to build it bigger and stronger.

We have to be strong to fight back to win what was stolen.

We have to be laser focused in Nov.
Not distracted.
Not caught off guard.

Then we can win.

We must stop the Dems.

It is a dangerous time in America. And the decades of complacency in the GOP is why we are here.

She discusses the budget. And how the one they just passed funded all the Biden priorities.
Including the Weaponized DOJ

She discusses the J6 prisoners. She said it's not illegal to protest a stolen election.

She discusses the National Anthem recording of the J6 prisoners. Said she was at the prison when they sang it and the prisoners yell out the phrase 'our flag was still there'

We have to win.

Said we have to win in 2024.
And we have to build bigger and better for 2026 to stop the Democrats.

Now the rules and agenda.

@JoshMcKoon Now comes the thing Republicans like to do.
Argue about rules and resolutions and all things minutia.

@JoshMcKoon A motion comes to the floor to do resolutions before voting.
It is a constant battle.
Conventions are for voting for candidates.
Other people want to make resolutions the priority.
A quorum must be maintained for voting.

@JoshMcKoon The motion failed.
Now we will vote to adopt the agenda.
Btw. All of this comes from Roberts Rules of Order.
If you go to an official meeting, learn the rules.

Now we move onto should we pass the rules.
Someone wants to change the rules so that full quorum is not needed to pass the resolutions.

@JoshMcKoon Basically, the people who feel strongly about Resolutions want the body to vote on them. Not just the Executive Committee.
Thus. They want to do away with the quorum rule for resolutions.

@JoshMcKoon As someone just said those who care about these things and stay should not be penalized by those who don't care about resolutions.
