This is little Solo. I gave her that name as she was tossed into the jungle all alone in the middle of Thailand.
She was covered in fleas, starving and had no mother. Someone spotted her in a hedge and asked if I’d take her.
Today was the greatest day of her life (1/7) 🧵
Solo was so small we had to feed her goat’s milk to build her up. Female puppies are often tossed in the jungle as nobody wants them. She only had a couple of hours left at most.
We started building her up but she needed a foster mum… (2/7)
Tina had been used her whole life for breeding puppies but had them all taken away from her. She was perfect for the job.
Solo watched her every move and copied all her traits. Solo became as gentle and kind as Tina in those days. Little did we know Tina would soon die (3/7)
Solo was like Tina’s shadow. We thought she would be tiny but she soon started to grow and we knew she’d have to make her own way in life. After 7 months it was time to find little Solo a home… (4/7)
It was about this time that my family visited. My little brother was dog obsessed and he walked them all but he kept begging to see Solo. He’d go and see her 3 times a day and just hold her. But he lived in Belgium and Solo was in Thailand (5/7)
Well today after months of planning and paper work Solo flew from Thailand with a flight volunteer family (thanks Sabine) to Germany where she met my dad and brother who’d driven to meet her. She was going to live with them in Belgium and his dream came true (6/7)
From the jungle of Thailand and only a couple of hours to live. Being brought up by Tina and then making a journey across the world.
You did it little Solo. You made it off the streets 🥰🙏 (7/7)

Nobody could have predicted how things would turn out for this dog.
24 hours ago he was alone close to death in a disused toilet staring at the wall.
It’s safe to say that Mr Big has grasped his second chance in life… (1/6) 🧵
One of his biggest problems were the blood sucking ticks. I think there were about 1000. We gave him the medicines yesterday. There were so many they made him anemic.
He also got a bunch of other antibiotics and meds to give him a boost (2/6)
It’s been a huge clean up job. You won’t believe it but those maggots were living in his ear. 3x that amount were cleaned out.
With all the ticks dead there was a massive operation to clean him up today and get him feeling good… (3/6)
This is Mr Big. He is a street dog who was very down on his luck when I got a message about him last night.
He arrived in agony and totally broken but his future will be bright (1/6) 🧵
All I knew was that he was in a temple (they often get dumped there). We were about to give up but found him in an old toilet hiding from the heat. He’s a big boy so the big duvet is for protection as just don’t know him.
He had given up on life and here is why… (2/6)
Mr Big had about 500 blood sucking ticks on him. They are between his toes, in his ears and even on his ass. They are literally sucking his life away.
He also has a hole in his ear which has maggots in it. The smell was the worst I’ve ever experienced (3/6)
🧠 Billy has brain damage and PTSD after getting beaten up
🧵Stella has string tied around her neck
🩸 OREO was minutes from death needing blood transfusions
Look at them now… (1/5) 🧵
Eve’s burns have totally healed. She is waiting to go to her forever home in England next month. The fur won’t grow back but she is in no pain and she has a wonderful life ahead of her (2/5)
Billy is out and about with his friends. After months of recovery he is feeling like new. The operation to fix his eyesight was a success.
I love just watching him look around in wonder as his sick friends walk with him. (3/5)
Little Stella had string tired around her neck as a puppy. She barely survived until we saved her 10 days ago.
Today Stella went on her first ever walk and it was glorious 🌺 🐕 ❤️ (1/6) 🧵
This was her a week ago. She was in agony and she wouldn’t even look at us. If we got close she’d try to bite us. The world had been cruel to little Stella but she’s been making insane progress this week (2/6)
The main reason she was able to come on a walk was her very good friends Rusty and Libby. They’ve given her great confidence that all is not bad in the world.
Libby has been alone and scared until now. She’s not 8 months old though and she came alive today (3/6)
This is the heartwarming story of a street dog named Joy.
She was badly injured and we brought her in for treatment.
The only problem is she refused to stay back on the streets and comes back daily to visit her friends… (1/7) 🧵
Joy lives less than a mile from where we are based in the jungle. A friend spotted her on the way in. Her wound was bad and we think caused by either barbed wire or a dog bite.
She had to stay with us for 2 weeks and have several vet visits but all was well (2/7)
Joy was actually a model patient. We just had to come up with lots of ways to keep the wound clean like her own pyjamas and various bandages.
After about 15-18 days it had closed. She made lots of friends with both humans and the other dogs (3/7)
You probably follow me for helping street dogs like OREO. Today something very different that I hope might help even one person.
I suffer from depression and on Monday had one of the worst panic attacks I’ve had in years.
A look into that world (1/8) 🧵
Helping dogs is massively emotionally challenging. Dogs like Hank, Billy, Super Mario, Rusty and Stella are great by the time they make it here but I often hide the tougher stuff.
If been battling for about a month but kept the show on the road for them (2/8)
This is me today. On Monday I had a horrific panic attack. What is a panic attack? Well for me…
🫀Feeling your heart racing
🦵 I got an insane cramp in my leg that I’ve never felt before
🫁 Asthma attack
🧠 Such a bad migraine I couldn’t open my eyes
🪦 Such bad anxiety you are convinced you will die. This lasted for about 45 minutes
📉 After the panic attack the body absolutely crashed and depression starts (3/8)
