🧵Hamas apologists (like @briebriejoy) ignorantly claim Hamas does not seek to kill Jews even claiming Hamas has a vision of peace. This is a lie. Hamas leaders & politicians frequently call to kill Jews as do many religious leaders on official Hamas TV. Many examples below: 1/

Hamas’ original charter from 1988 says it explicitly. The intro section shown above notes the “struggle against the Jews” and Article 7 invokes the killing of Jews and the matter of "Jews" is sprinkled throughout. 2/

In 2017 Hamas issued new charter that sanitizes Jews as “Zionists” claiming Zionists identify their cause with Jews, despite >90% of world Jews are Zionist. But notably and critically, 1988 charter was never revoked – it still stands and killing Jews has not been repudiated! 3/

In July 2018 senior Hamas official Fathi Hamad said “we must attack every Jew on the globe by way of slaughter and killing” in a speech. His words were well publicized and condemned, so he walked back his comments. All ok then, didn’t mean it, right? 4/ timesofisrael.com/hamas-distance…

But the same Fathi Hamad called once again to kill Jews in 2021: “cut of the heads of [Yahud] Jews” in a speech aired on official Hamas Al-Aqsa TV). So much for walking back his remarks in 2019. Just like the “new” charter. 5/

In a Hamas celebration in Gaza in May 2021, with Hamas leader Sinwar on stage and other Hamas officials in front, speakers glorified extreme violence (“turn your skulls into a ladder”) and “We will trample on the heads of Jews.” 6/

In April 2023 Hamas official Sheikh Hamad Al-Regeb referred to Jews as “Brothers of Apes and Pigs” and called “Oh Allah, enable us to get the necks of the Jews.” Not Zionists (which somehow seems OK to the apologists) but Jews. 8/

Hamas TV in Gaza regularly airs programs calling for the murder of Jews; when state TV airs something it reflects the regime. For example in May 2022 Islamic Scholar Mraweh Nassar said “you shall fight the Jews and you shall kill them.” 9/

There are numerous examples of scholars, preachers, officials on Hamas TV calling for annihilation of Jews. There is never a vision of peace or coexistence. ZERO. No wonder 10/7 attackers gloated about killed Jews. It’s a core tenet of Hamas movement. END
