To participate in the Stake For Governance process, you must transfer W tokens to an EVM chain.
This can be done in the Governance Portal.

Wormhole Guardian Security Limit 🛡️
As a function of Wormhole Guardian security, a limit of 100 million W tokens can be transferred from Solana to EVM chains daily.
It’s highly encouraged that you be among the first to stake for governance to help set a strong foundation for future Wormhole governance.

Native Token Transfers & MultiGov ⚖️
As part of the W launch roadmap and to enable true multichain governance, W is natively available on @solana, @ethereum, @arbitrum, @Optimism, and @base through Wormhole Native Token Transfers (NTT).
- On Solana, W is an SPL token.
- On EVM chains, W is an ERC20 token.

By joining the initial group of Stake For Governance participants, you'll:
- maximize your influence with higher visibility
- secure your spot in the governance process without delay
Stay tuned for updates to the staking roadmap.

Wormhole is the leading interoperability platform powering multichain applications and bridges at scale.
🧵👇
1/ In 2020, Wormhole introduced the first-ever general messaging protocol, with the original goal of connecting Ethereum and @solana. Wormhole became the only way to transfer assets between Ethereum and Solana and still remains the canonical interoperability protocol for Solana.
2/ Wormhole played a key role in growing the Solana ecosystem — even co-hosting the first-ever Solana Hackathon in October 2020, called the Solana Wormhole hackathon.
Introducing Native Token Transfers (NTT), an open framework for seamlessly taking your token multichain.
This is not another token standard. Read on ⤵️
1/ Native Token Transfers (NTT) introduces an open, flexible, and composable framework for transferring native tokens across blockchains while preserving their intrinsic properties.
2/ Projects using NTT retain control over their token's behavior on each chain, including:
✦ Full Customizability
✦ Metadata Control
✦ Ownership/Upgradeability
This enables NTT to integrate with any kind of token standard or governance system.
ZK is the true endgame for blockchain interoperability, bringing fully trustless transfers to crypto.
Let's get into the ZK vision and roadmap⤵️
Trust lies at the very heart of every interaction, organization, or system.
One of the great innovations of crypto has been the ability to reduce reliance on a small set of trusted actors to a wider audience of users, developers, and stakeholders.
This process of democratizing and disintermediating trust has been challenging. But nonetheless, the Wormhole community remains committed to upholding this ethos of trust-minimization.
Announcing native ETH and wstETH transfers across 7 EVM chains, powered by Wormhole and the Uniswap Protocol.
1/ Options for transferring native ETH and wstETH between L2s and other EVMs are slow and expensive, and often involve wrapped tokens and gas required on the destination chain.
Users on the top chains have been demanding easy, cheap, native transfers for ETH and wstETH.
2/ Today @wormholecrypto contributors bring users native ETH and @LidoFinance wstETH transfers built on permissionless Uniswap Protocol's v3 pools.
It's time to make building in crypto more accessible than ever before.
Introducing the $50m Cross-Chain Ecosystem Fund, powered by Wormhole! 💎
The goal of the Cross-Chain Ecosystem Fund is to onboard the next generation of Web3 applications that create experiences users love - no matter the ecosystem.
This is an anti-maxi initiative that goes far beyond a single chain or community, and it’s all enabled by Wormhole.

Wormhole has been selected as a new @NEARProtocol official bridge and to partner on launching the first trustless NEAR <> ETH corridor powered by ZK proofs!
Wormhole enables all major NEAR assets to be seamlessly bridged to the 20+ connected chains and brings hundreds of Wormhole-powered apps and communities into the NEAR ecosystem.
With contributors across the NEAR ecosystem, we'll be developing the first ZK light clients to support the first trustless NEAR <> ETH corridor (that's a lot of firsts), enabling a safer bridging experience.
