Beauty technology like makeup, hair dye, and surgery doesn't benefit everyone equally. Some women age worse than others, some lack curves, some have less popular coloration, and some have a bad attitude. In your opinion, who can benefit from today's cosmetic technology the most?
Here's a link to the section of Dispelling Beauty Lies that discusses the most impactful cosmetic surgery.
In time cosmetic technology will improve, and we'll be able to bring all women up to a similar level. Of course, that day isn't quite here yet--hence the question in the OP.
Smarts aren't sexy. But that doesn't mean smart men don't prefer smart women as mates. Typically they do. The thing is, displays of smarts still interfere with erotic moods. So be clever in conversation, but when it's sexy time, turn it off and act girlish--even airheaded.
Acting girlish isn't the only way to be seductive, I just ran out of space. You can still do the "sophisticated seductress" thing. But when it's sexy time you need to give the impression that you're driven by eros and feminine instinct, not intellectualism. Same principle.
You can read more about seduction here, or in the expanded section on seduction in my beauty article (link in bio).
Several cosmetic surgeons have written to me about my beauty research. You might be surprised to hear what they had to say...👇
(For the record, I am not a cosmetic surgeon nor affiliated with the industry in any way.)
They explained to me that they can't tell their own clients the complete truth about feminine beauty. Because their clients just don't want to hear it, and to stay in business they have to give their clients what they want.
More gold diggers makes men more cynical. More wonder: why not just have an AI gf and occasionally pay for an escort. Causes more men to drop out, which causes more women to become dissatisfied with their choices and drop out too. Pretty soon everyone is alone in their pod.
Journalists are there to propagandize you and sell advertisements. Telling the truth about anything, let alone feminine beauty, is the last thing on their minds.
"Gell-Mann amnesia" is irrationally trusting journalists even after they put out magazine covers like this.
Influencers aren't better. They may not be as innately wicked as journalists, but they crave fame and will say anything to get it. Plus, plenty of them are stooges paid by three-letter departments of the government or NGOs.
Not even kidding.
Never forget. Influencers are less trustworthy than the LEAST TRUSTWORTHY PERSON you've ever met.
Why does the fashion industry promote such a twisted vision of feminine beauty? It's not JUST because designers are gay. It's because they're not actually rewarded for creating beauty! They're rewarded for selling you clothes...
But what's the difference?
If you can sell more expensive clothes with psychological manipulation, that's what designers will do. If you can sell more expensive clothes by emphasizing status signals, that's what designers will do. Regardless of whether these tactics conflict with beauty (which they do).
When aesthetic culture degenerates to a point where status, trends, and purchase triggers all contradict beauty, we can expect designers to sell ugliness.
