Journalists are there to propagandize you and sell advertisements. Telling the truth about anything, let alone feminine beauty, is the last thing on their minds.

"Gell-Mann amnesia" is irrationally trusting journalists even after they put out magazine covers like this. Influencers aren't better. They may not be as innately wicked as journalists, but they crave fame and will say anything to get it. Plus, plenty of them are stooges paid by three-letter departments of the government or NGOs.

Why does the fashion industry promote such a twisted vision of feminine beauty? It's not JUST because designers are gay. It's because they're not actually rewarded for creating beauty! They're rewarded for selling you clothes...

But what's the difference? If you can sell more expensive clothes with psychological manipulation, that's what designers will do. If you can sell more expensive clothes by emphasizing status signals, that's what designers will do. Regardless of whether these tactics conflict with beauty (which they do).

SMART WOMEN are the MOST confused about what makes a woman attractive.
