To stop Project 2025 in its tracks, you need to go *all the way up and down the ballot*, including school board races and judicial seats (often "nonpartisan")
First off: REGISTER TO VOTE, DOUBLE CHECK REG, AND MAKE A VOTING PLAN:
ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR VOTING PLAN, once you have registered to vote and double-checked your reg...this is where you begin Opposition Research.
The Christian Nationalists behind Project 2025 are very well organized, and put out a LOT of voters guides for their own
2/x
And this is a particular way in which they capture state legislatures, and also school board elections and judicial seats--the latter are particularly easy to run in as "stealthers" because these are "nonpartisan" races with no political party listed
3/x
The good news is that Christian Nationalists also put out these voter's guides for their own in VERY accessible ways, and it's quite possible to use THESE in compiling your own voter's guide (though absolutely not in the way that Christian Nationalist groups intend!)
4/x
Yes, as part of your Voting Plan I'm gonna teach you how to make your own personal voters' guide :D
So again, we start with Opposition Research, aka Seeing Who Christian Nationalist Groups Are Trying To Promote Aggressively And Who They're Trying To Sabotage.
5/x
Now for federal level races, state level races, *usually* they're gonna support the guy with the "R" next to them, but looking at *primary* races is useful in knowing what races might not have an opponent (in which case look at !)
And the info re *primaries* is useful for after 2024, assuming we don't fuck up the 2024 election (note: yes, it is That Important we Do Not Fuck Up the 2024 election, because there won't BE primaries or elections ever again if we fuck this up)
7/x
So. Opposition research for a general election.
The two Christian Nationalist groups in the US that are the primary publishers of voters' guides are Family Research Council (via their front iVoterGuide) and state American Family Association affiliates (often via a PAC)
8/x
To give an example of the kinds of Opposition Research I do when making voters guides for my peeps:
AFA's state affiliate (which is a PAC) does their voter guides a few weeks before elections, this lists the school board and judicial races too that they target
9/x
Basically any AFA/Freedom's Heritage Forum endorsement I treat as an anti-endorsement and as someone marked to AVOID.
Then I go through iVoterGuide(dot)com's list, and use their endorsements as anti-endorsements (this is useful for judicial races & state level races)
10/x
The OTHER splinter group from Focus on the Family (CitizenLink, which has numerous state affiliates under <state> Family Foundation) ALSO prints its own partisan guides, though typically these will be the same as iVoterGuide's list.
Again: Use as anti-endorsement
11/x
Then look at anti-reproductive-health groups, they also tend to have partisan voters guides, and may push attention towards anti-reproductive-health ballot initiatives or oppose pro-reproductive-health initiatives, again, treat as an anti-endorsement
12/x
And from THERE, after you've eliminated the actual Bad Christian Nationalist Actors and noted to vote the opposite way in a ballot initiative or state amendment vote to how the local Christian Nationalists that sent buses to J6 are telling THEIR members to vote...
13/x
Once you've done THAT, then look at endorsements from groups that promote causes you also care about. Things like endorsements from labor groups, pro-Palestine orgs, LGBTQ2IA orgs, women's rights/reproductive rights orgs, and so on
Again also useful in judicial elections!
14/x
And yes, it's VERY important with school boards and judiciary elections, as these are things Christian Nationalists have historically targeted heavily and we've all seen how badly Christian Nationalists can fuck up schools and the courts if allowed to do so
15/x
(The courts have been targeted really since desegregation, schools since that time, school board hijack attempts since the Christian Coalition was still around in the 80s and 90s--Moms 4 Liberty is a repeat of an OLD pattern in Christian Nationalism)
16/x
As you're making your voting plan to get to the polls or get your ballot in mail/dropbox in time, look at who the Christian Nationalists are endorsing & put those on your "Do Not Vote For" list, ESPECIALLY at a local level
WE CAN BEAT 'EM AT THEIR OWN GAME WITH NUMBERS!
17/end

a) Democracies can be either direct democracy or representative democracy
b) Republics are a form of representative democracy (where reps chosen by voters decide on legislative issues)
c) Direct democracy does exist in the US (mostly in small towns in the Northeast US, and in the form of voter initiatives in states that allow them)
d) Other non-republic forms of government involve absolute monarchies, dictatorships, theocracies and other forms of autocracy
2/x
e) A constitutional republic is a specific form of a republic (itself a form of representative democracy) where specific rules for how these representatives are elected and how the government operates as a whole are set in an overriding national law, a "constitution"
3/x
And I should note that this is not the first time this has happened by chuds, we all know about how the Gadsen flag was appropriated by "Christian Patriot" paramilitary groups in the late 90s and early 2000s, but yeah, this is a Hell Of A Tell that needs explanation
2/x
So, I've written before about how the Great Sedition on #J6 was, effectively, a New Apostolic Reformation Christian Nationalist autocoup, and how it's DEEPLY linked with "Signs and Wonders" stuff including a series of Rosh Hashanah apocalyptic panics:
@bmac2122 @IdiditagainR4D @nikicaga Nah, dude, it's a combo of basic math AND the horrible fucking kludge that is a good part of the US electoral system (which yes THAT needs change too, but THAT needs to get some OTHER changes for THAT to happen, which I'll even detail because I do like to give suggestions)
1/x
@bmac2122 @IdiditagainR4D @nikicaga So, just in case you missed civics class:
You don't actually directly elect the President.
Yes, I'm serious; *you don't get to directly elect the President by popular vote; a hacky-ass wish-dot-com Parliamentary Election decides in the form of Electoral College.
2/x
@bmac2122 @IdiditagainR4D @nikicaga This particular system was designed, of note, from a prior system used by the Continental Congress, and is a prime example of how the US did a lot of Not Invented Here Syndrome in designing its constitutional republic to be As Much Unlike Westminster System As Possible

So first off, targeting of progressive spaces is something that not only is a tactic of Russian disinfo (as noted in Foundations of Geopolitics, as a strategy of "splitting" and ramping up accelerationist extremes) but is increasingly a tactic of far-right infiltrators
2/x
It's not just a thing on Xitter (though it's a bad issue here what with the site turning into Diet St*rmfront); on another network did see an apparent "tankie" account whose userhistory shows a LOT of QAnonsense "pedophile" claims, blatant antisemitism, anti-Asian racism

a) First off, we got some very recent signs that are about as clear a signal as exists from Square Enix that TWEWY is not getting killed off.
Namely: The #NTWEWY x #Reynatis collab is damn near this sign in the flesh--and I'll explain exactly why that is.
2/x
So I've noted for three years that *every* bit of behaviour from SQEX re NEO:TWEWY does *not* indicate the franchise is dead, but quite the opposite (and yes, we're gonna get into some explicit examples and discussion on how game companies & IP licensing work)
3/x
Specifically: There is a very specific sort of Holocaust denial that is common in anti-LGBTQIA Christian Nationalist spaces, which either claims LGBTQIA people were not killed (including transgender people) or that LGBTQIA people were its perpetrators or both
2/x
Starting in the early 2010s, Christian Nationalist groups have also tried to infiltrate feminist spaces in the Commonwealth, especially those that already trended TERFy, and this specific Christian Nationalist Holocaust denial has followed them into TERF spaces
