🚨Empower Oversight President @tristanleavitt discloses evidence of @FBI Security Division abusing clearance reviews to probe whether FBI employees had ever:
- Expressed support for President Trump, or
- Expressed opposition to the COVID-19 vaccine.

Those questions are completely irrelevant to a legitimate security determination and suggest something more like a political purge. Image
The @FBI should scrutinize security clearance holders who advocate violence or commit crimes to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power.

But it should not abuse that process to force employees to turn in their co-workers for expressing constitutionally protected opinions.Image
Here is one of the interview outlines the FBI Security Division used to question our client's co-workers about his political opinions: Image
This page shows that the FBI Security Division interrogated our client's co-workers about his views on the COVID-19 vaccine. Image

Lawful whistleblowing is the opposite of illegal leaking. Holding leaders accountable the right way is an American tradition worth preserving.

Lessons from America's 1st #whistleblower law:

1. 🧵 https://t.co/nrZLd9BMfNbit.ly/wb-patriot
2. Lawful whistleblowers should not be falsely smeared as illegal leakers & illegal leakers should not be falsely celebrated as lawful whistleblowers.

On July 30, 1778, the Continental Congress passed the world’s first whistleblower law.
3. It is important to remember the story of America’s first whistleblowers. They were 10 American sailors and marines who secretly gathered below deck on the USS Warren, in the midst of war, to sign a petition reporting the misconduct of their commanding officer to his bosses.

Statement from Gary Shapley’s Legal Team on Biden Lawyer’s Letter to Congress Attacking a #Whistleblower

twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Biden family lawyers have resorted to intimidation before—reportedly threatening federal prosecutors with “career suicide” if they charged Hunter Biden.

So this attempt to intimidate our client and the oversight authorities scrutinizing the politicization of that case is no surprise.

Empower Oversight will fight any retaliation against this courageous #whistleblower tooth and nail—along with our co-counsel Mark Lytle.
President @tristanleavitt and @empowr_us will work tirelessly to protect our client’s rights and honor the risks he has taken to inform Congress and other oversight authorities.
Whistleblowers deserve support for telling the truth, and we look forward to working cooperatively with the relevant committees to ensure they get the information they need to do their constitutional job of oversight.

Empower Oversight asks Inspector General to Correct False Claim that his Office has Rejected FBI Whistleblower

empowr.us/empower-oversi…
Empower Oversight transmitted a letter to the DOJ-OIG seeking confirmation that former FBI Special Agent Steve Friend’s concerns have not been “rejected” by his office, contrary to mischaracterizations in widely trumpeted congressional leaks.

"The abuse of the security clearance process to retaliate and force [Friend] out of his job is also a broader concern, of which Friend’s case is only one prominent example" - @tristanleavitt
