Anyone who says that NATO provoked russia to attack Ukraine is either stupid, brainwashed or simply doesn’t know the history.
1/n
2/ Until 2013, only about 20-30% of Ukrainians (depending on the poll) were in favor of joining NATO. After the annexation of Crimea, that number went up to more than 50%. And now, after the full scale invasion, close to 90% of Ukrainians say that they want Ukraine to join NATO.
3/ Also, it was russian aggression that forced Sweden and Finland to join NATO. It is russian aggression that has prompted other countries to join NATO not “NATO’s expansion” forcing russia to attack the neighboring countries.
4/ Even the infamous interview of propagandist Tucker Carlson with Putin showed that russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014 and 2022 had nothing to do with NATO. It had all to do with Putin’s obsession with the breakup of Kyivan Rus in the 12th century and USSR in the 20th century.
5/ He can’t accept that Ukrainians are a nation, thus he wants to erase Ukraine from existence.

the ban on the transfer of American weapons to Azov brigade, which had been in effect since 2017. This is an important defeat of russian propaganda and the western journalists who were spreading it. 1/n
2/ Azov was formed in response to russia's invasions of Crimea and Donbas in 2014. Azov began as a militia group made up of football fans, who pushed the russian occupiers out of Mariupol.
3/ In response, Moscow began an initiative to slander Azov as “𝐍𝐞𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐬” as an effective method to reduce international support for Ukraine. Often using symbols taken out of context and cheap photoshops to “prove” their false narratives.
Italy received 1,108,035 Schengen visa applications in 2023. Who were the main applicants and recipients of visas - russians and Chinese.

2/ On May 29 Norway has banned the entry of tourists from russia. The ban affects both those who previously obtained a Norwegian tourist visa and those who obtained a visa issued by another country of the Schengen Agreement.
3/ Minister of Justice and Public Security Emilie Enger Mehl highlighted that the position taken by Norway is a direct response to russia's illegal aggression against Ukraine.
In a recent interview, Garry Kasparov, one of the best chess players of all time and a russian dissident who stood up to Putin, said that Ukraine is doing what NATO was designed to: protect free Europe from russian authoritarianism. 1/n
2/ Kasparov is one of the few russian dissidents who believes in victory for Ukraine. But he is upset that, despite Ukraine's defense of the West, the West still won’t give Ukraine the permissions and tools needed to win.
3/ Washington doesn’t even speak the language of victory. Instead, the White House says: “‘We will stand with Ukraine as long as it takes.” Kasparov adds that these words are “nonsense because this sentence is very ambiguous.”
French President Emmanuel Macron wants to create a coalition of states willing to send military instructors to Ukraine to train Ukrainian defenders. 1/n
2/ Macron wants to announce the creation of the coalition during Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to France on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings, on June 6 and 7.
3/ Recently, Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi shared that he had signed paperwork allowing French military instructors to visit Ukrainian training centres soon, implying that French military instructors will be coming to Ukraine.
I don’t believe in the russian opposition. I had zero respect for Navalny. But I always wanted to hope that maybe there are some “good russian” opposition leaders that could bring russia out of the Middle Ages. Unfortunately, my hope is almost gone.

2/ Just recently I listened Khodorkovsky's interview with Dud. Khodorkovsky is considered one of the “good russians”, one of the hopes of the russian opposition. In reality, he is still a vatnik, damaged and brainwashed by the russian imperialistic ideology.
3/ Here is a short paraphrased dialogue from the interview.
Dud: You supported the war in Chechnya. Your factories produced armored personnel carriers and assault rifles, which were used to kill Chechens.
“Russia’s war against Ukraine has turned into terrorism. The Russian military isn't just bombing civilians. It's also targeting the laws and values that protect human rights.” 1/n
2/ “Russia is now carrying out acts of terrorism every day; this will have consequences for the rickety structure of international laws and practices that are designed to prevent such acts. And not only for the laws and structures:“
3/ “In truth, Russian forces are also targeting the values that lie behind them, the principles and even the emotions that led people to create them in the first place.”
