for destruction at the same time, the media is doing something unprecedented - it is trying to overrule the voters on both sides of political spectrum simultaneously, essentially declaring itself kingmaker with no public accountability or input.

Who, exactly are the media? Is it the people who work there? Is it the billionaires who own them? Is it the govt 3 letter agencies?

Given the power of what the media is taking on, it would seem unlikely that it is just the talking heads & writers by themselves.

If its the billionaires and they lose - look out, some very prominent & wealthy people are going to get crushed.

If it is the govt agencies, the true deep / administrative state, this seems very sloppy and uncoordinated. It would also mean this is the moment of true attempted governmental overthrow, as the last vestiges of rule by the people are stamped out.

That last question is a fascinating one.

Every time the press as a united pack does a 180 degree turn, they should lose credibility with a good portion of the US population. They certainly have with the Repubs & the center. Will they lose more of the Left?
