First of all, when Trump said he had nothing to do with Project 2025, he wasn't lying.
Technically, it was written by 200+ pro-Trump policy "experts," many of whom served in the Trump administration. Trump's official plan is called "Agenda47."
Think of it this way:
Project 2025 is the MAGA employee manual for people who will work in the Trump Administration.
Agenda47 is a campaign document (Well, a series of videos). It's essentially a Cliff's Notes version of Project 2025 on YouTube for MAGAs who don't like all that reading BS.
Project 2025 is broken down by departments of the federal government.
Agenda 47 is broken down into 46 separate topics (I know... He's bad at counting). But they're basically the same ideas.
Let's start with the entire premise of Trump's plan.
10: Make Government White Again:
If you recall, many of Trump's biggest ideas were foiled by government workers. The OMB used a "woke" idea called "math" to tell him how much a border wall would cost. A whistleblower exposed the "perfect" phone call that got Trump impeached. Project 2025 has a solution.
The entire premise of Project 2025 is to fill the federal government with employees who are loyal to Trump.
How will they do that?
They want to replace "nonpartisan career government experts" with MAGAmuffins. What does this have to do with Black people?
Well, senior-level govt workers are disproportionately white, but Black workers (who generally aren't conservative) are overrepresented in the civilian federal workforce.
This is the "swamp" Project 2025 wants to drain.
Agenda47 calls it the "Dismantling the deep state"
9. They will fight racism...Against whites:
Project 2025 is filled with examples of how white people are oppressed. They can't get minority business loans. Even the military is getting less white.
They're going to fight the woke agenda by eliminating these anti-white programs
8. Fight anti-Black racism
They do have a plan to fight white supremacy.
Hide it.
Project 2025 will end the practice of collecting data that shows racial disparities in government, education and those "Black jobs."
Their plan is to literally "stop talking about race."
7. Get tough on Black crime, go easy on white cops.
They plan to end EVERY CONSENT DECREE filed against corrupt police agencies, undo bail reform, bring back "stop and frisk" & use the death penalty "when possible" - ESPECIALLY for drug dealers
Can you hear the dog whistles?
The Trump DOJ will reexamine whether categorizing white supremacist groups as "domestic terrorists" violates free speech rights. They will also stop the DOJ from investigating "disinformation," voter suppression and intimidation. Instead, they'll focus on "voter fraud"
6. Make Jesus white again
Project 2025 is rife with Christian nationalism. Its policies on abortion, education and gender are based on what they call America's "Judeo-Christian tradition"
They will give taxpayer education funds to predominately white K-12 schools and colleges.
Project 2025 would force organizations to accredit fundamentalist Christian schools, allow businesses to discriminate based on "religious freedom," and force all government programs to adhere to a definition of marriage, sex and gender that is approved by Caucasian Christ.
Especially abortion
Republicans aren't lying when they said they won't pass a nationwide abortion ban. If Project 2025 became law, they won't have to. Not only would it repeal FDA approval for abortion drugs & sue states that require employers to cover abortions...
They would rescind federal funds from any company, contractor or healthcare institution that provides LEGAL abortions.
If that's not enough, then there's one more part:
The Dept. of Health and Human Services would no longer consider abortion to be "health care."
5. Welfare for whites; poverty for Blacks.
To finance give government handouts to predominately white private schools ("school choice"), rural white businesses ("farm subsidies"), & white suburban homeowners, they had to cut a few programs that benefit Black people.
75% of white people own homes. Black homeownership has NEVER reached 50%. Still, they want to cut programs for rental assistance, minority homebuyers, low-income housing, school lunch & student loans
They will rescind the executive order against biased real estate appraisers
4. Make Black schools worse
Project 2025 will cut funding for the poorest schools, defund schools that use their definition of DEI or CRT, & cut funding for colleges that teach Black studies, Gender studies or any of the "area studies."
Instead, they'll promote capitalism
3. Make America racist again
They would repeal nearly every federal regulation and eliminate every department that prevents discrimination, including most agencies' civil rights divisions. They'd literally erase the word "equity" from the federal government
2. The quiet part, loudly.
Project 2025 protects right-wing extremism, election deniers, Christian nationalism, and Elon Musk's conspiracy theories by classifying accountability, equity or fairness as "wokeness," "cancel culture" & a "Marxist" threat to free speech
1. Forget about Trump
The most disturbing part of Project 2025 is that it is NOT a Trump Plan; it is a CONSERVATIVE plan. Many of the Project 2025 appointees can be installed by a GOP Senate. The House controls the country's purse strings, and A GOP-majority in the House...
enact the program in these plans WITHOUT Trump. And because it embeds MAGA workers in the gov't, it could be GENERATIONS before we infestation a MAGA infesteation of the federal government.
It's not about JUST about your presidential vote; it's about voting on every level.
Now, the first thing we have to acknowledge the inherent whiteness of your question.
You don't get to define the idea of freedom. For instance, there is a reason why most countries don't allow everyone to own guns carte blanche; it's stupid.
Had it not been for slavery, 2nd Amendment wouldn't exist in the federal constitution. Only 4 of the original 13 state constitutions contained a "right to bear arms'
According to @Grok, Apartheid Elon is literally the biggest spreader of misinformation on Twitter. But I'm willing to give the literal Grammar Nazi a pass on this one because he doesn't know much about HIS OWN history.
It began before America existed, when the Favres, a white family (Yes, an ancestor of Brett) moved to the Mississippi Valley to start a family business. They initially worked for France. Then, Spain. They eventually secured a lucrative contract with the US government.
The scam was simple. They would move near a indigenous people to trade guns in exchange for allowing white people to live in peace.
Now, EVERY CULTURE fought over territory, including the Choctaw & other natives. So having more guns than a rivals meant more territory.
In the days before WebMD, an enterprising scammer could make a fortune promoting ANYTHING as a health product. If you wanted to stay healthy, you needed to include gin, a few cigarettes and some tonic to your health routine
But if a scammer REALLY wanted people to trust a product, they would sell it straight to a pharmacy. Like the dude who couldn't sell his tonic named after Dr. Joseph Lister (who had nothing to do with it). He made a deal pharmacist, & the pharmacist sold it as a health drink
I've seen SO MANY ppl use the shutdown as an opportunity to demonize people who receive SNAP benefits, WIC and any kind of government assistance.
Here's the thing:
I agree with those people.
We need to end the WHITE welfare state
BECAUSE welfare works.
A thread:
The original welfare program began when the government decided to help the lazy, uneducated Jamestown colonists who didn't want to work. In exchange for bringing carpenters, farmers & indentured servants who knew how do stuff, colonizers received 50 free acres in "headrights" or "patents."
Virginia even recorded names of the migrant workers. On Apr 19, 1638, George Menefie received 3,000 acres for 60 "servants." But there's only 37 names.
What happened?
He received 1,150 acres, an area about the size of Harlem, for 23 unnamed "negroes..."
