On behalf of the American people, I thank Joe Biden for his extraordinary leadership as President of the United States and for his decades of service to our country.

I am honored to have the President’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination.
I will do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party—and unite our nation—to defeat Donald Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda. If you’re with me, add a donation right now.

Donald Trump is flat-out lying about the relief available to Americans who are suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

It is wrong, it is dangerous, and it is preventing people from getting the help that they desperately need.
Let me be clear: Disaster funds are being used to help Americans in need.

FEMA is reimbursing 100% of the local and state government costs. They are providing an immediate payment of $750 to folks with urgent needs, such as food, water, baby formula, medication, and other emergency supplies. Those affected may also receive additional assistance to repair their homes and find a temporary place to stay.
Many Americans are experiencing unfathomable loss because of this disaster. They need to be able to trust the information they are getting.

Instead, as usual, Donald Trump and his allies are turning immense human suffering into a political game. It is wrong.

Donald Trump is one of the biggest losers of manufacturing in American history.

He makes empty promise after empty promise to American workers, but never delivers.
As president, he cut taxes for corporations, encouraged outsourcing, and lost nearly 200,000 manufacturing jobs—including auto jobs.

He has joked about firing workers, supported state anti-union laws, and suggested companies move jobs out of Michigan.
We’ve seen this movie before. Once again, he is repeating the same playbook and telling the same old lies about how he’ll fight for working people, including those in Michigan.

Yet, it was Trump’s trade deal that made it far too easy for a major auto company like Stellantis to break their word to workers by outsourcing American jobs.

A young mother from Georgia should be alive today, raising her son and pursuing her dream of attending nursing school.

This is exactly what we feared when Roe v. Wade was struck down. In more than 20 states, Trump Abortion Bans prevent doctors from providing basic medical care.
Women are bleeding out in parking lots, turned away from emergency rooms, losing their ability to ever have children again.

Survivors of rape and incest are being told they cannot make decisions about what happens next to their bodies.

And now women are dying. These are the consequences of Donald Trump’s actions.
There is so much at stake in this election, including restoring the freedoms that have been taken away from us. If Donald Trump gets the chance, he will sign a national abortion ban, and these horrific realities will multiply.

During difficult times I have always turned to cooking. This year, I wanted to share one of my family’s favorite Thanksgiving recipes with you. I hope whenever you’re able to make it in life, it brings you as much warmth as it has brought me—even when separated from those I love.
Ingredients: 2 8oz packages of cornbread mix
1 pound spicy pork sausage
2 onions, chopped
2 apples, cored and chopped
4 celery stalks, diced
¾ cup of chicken broth
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
2 tsp sage
½ tsp thyme
½ tsp rosemary
salt & pepper
Directions: Bake your cornbread according to the instructions on the package. This can be done the day before. Once it’s cooled, crumble it.

This campaign is a fight for the soul of our country. It’s a fight of and for the people. Together, we will fight for a country with strong public schools. A country where one job is enough to pay the bills. A country with health care for every single American.
We will fight for a country where getting a college education doesn’t mean taking on a lifetime of debt. Where middle-class and working families get a break, not corporations or the wealthiest 1%.
Where every single person can retire with dignity. Where we can all breathe clean air and drink clean water. Where Black women aren’t three to four times more likely to die in childbirth than white women.

The end of the year is always a time for reflection, and this year I wanted to take a look back at some of the highs and lows of 2018. Thread below:
There’s no question the Supreme Court fight was a tough one. But Dr. Ford’s strength and courage to come forward was so important. Her voice mattered and your voices matter. We won’t let survivors be silenced.
This year I introduced the LIFT Act and the Rent Relief Act — two bills to help our middle class. With housing, tuition, and other costs rising year after year, it’s time Congress helped to put more money back in the pockets of millions of American families.
