At the #OlympicGames , Angela Carini of Italy highlighted the appalling unfairness of being matched against a male opponent.
Yet in an ironic twist, her countryman Petrillo appears to have ignored the injustice faced by Carini and will instead himself compete against women.

It is bizarre that the #Paralympics, with its strict guidelines about who is eligible, has no compunction on men taking women’s places and our chance of medals.
Men should NOT be competing in the women’s category - including when they do not meet the men’s qualifying standard.
