1️⃣ After yesterday’s knife attack in Turkey, which resulted in several injuries, it’s clear that we need to get informed about the rapidly growing Turkish Neo-Nazi scene.
🧵
2️⃣ First of all, I want to emphasize that this was not a random attack, but one with political motivation.
The attacker’s gear included a Black Sun, a clear Nazi symbol.
The attacker’s Telegram profile picture also features a Swastika with Turkish motifs.
3️⃣ After the 2024 elections, Turkey now has the most right-wing Parliament in its history.
This blend of nationalism and Islamism has given rise to various factions, including even Nazism.
4️⃣ Such radical factions are mostly ideologically secular and followers of Atatürk.
Their ideology is fueled by hatred of the 'Other,' a typical Neo-Nazi reaction.
An example of this is 'Ulusal Cephe,' which openly supports Adolf Hitler and his ideology.
5️⃣ Ulusal Cephe (National Front), which describes itself as 'national socialist,' also salutes the genocidal Pashas: Enver and Talat.

6️⃣ Another Turk-supremacist group displaying these characteristics operates solely on Telegram.
It’s claimed that yesterday’s attacker was actually a member of this group, 'Sansasyonel Turan Birliği.'
7️⃣ They are armed and dangerous.
The Neo-Nazi group 'Ataman Kardeşliği' has been seen conducting weapons training. The group was also criticized and exposed by @LindseySnell in recent years.
8️⃣ To summarize, Turkish hatred towards Armenians, Kurds, refugees, and 'others' is now being embodied by the ideology of Adolf Hitler.
It is weaponized and organized.
There is also no power to stop it, as these movements draw their strength from politics.
9️⃣ In my opinion, the level of racism in Turkey is being ignored because of the rise of the right in Europe.
The rise of Neo-Nazism in Turkey is a significant issue, and I believe we will see more attacks like yesterday’s.
This topic needs a more detailed thread. 🧵
