Dear men,

You are probably aware that women’s fertility declines after the age of 35, but do you also know that your age can affect your ability to become a parent, too? As a man, if you are above 40 years and you aren't ready to start fathering your own children, Please come here! I have an interesting thread for you.

Fertility decreases with age for a woman and also for a man although in different ways and to different degrees. One of the most important factors that determine fertility is age. Male Fertility Declines with Age!!!

While less is known about male fertility and age, there is increasing evidence that the older a man becomes, the more his fertility diminishes. You can’t change your age, but with knowledge and proper education, it is possible to improve your chances of successfully fathering a child.

As earlier established, while it is not impossible for an older man to father children, it may not always be possible. Many men actually remain fertile until they are 60 or older, however, ability to father a child does become more difficult and complicated with age.

From practical experience, it takes longer to father a child the older you are. If you are over 50 and your woman is under 25, it can take about two years for her to get pregnant. On the other hand, if both of you are under 25, it could take just a few months on average. If you are over 45 it could take five times as long for you to father a child that when you were under 25.

The fact really is that with advancing age, even In vitro fertilization (IVF) becomes more challenging. The risk of not having a baby after IVF is more than five times higher if the male partner is 41 years old or older.

Dear Ladies,

Let's talk about "MENSTRUAL CYCLE AND OVULATION PERIOD"

Most of you ladies still can't differentiate between them, but in this thread I'll explain for y'all to understand. It is important to know them, even if you're not planning a baby.

If you also want to determine your baby's sex. A boy or a girl, kindly go through the thread.

-MENSTRUAL PERIOD: The time blood flows out of your private area, when you use pad.

-MENSTRUAL CYCLE: Days it takes to see another blood in the month. If you last saw your period yesterday 11th and it started again on February 10th next month, then you have 30days cycle (count from 11th of this month to 10th February).

NOTE: It is erroneous to believe it's 28days cycle, different women have different cycles ranging from 21-35 days.

-OVULATION PERIOD: This is time to get pregnant without stress. This is two weeks after your period or two weeks before the next period.
Here's a simple way to calculate your ovulation (unsafe) period.

1. From the first day you see the blood of your period.
2. Pick up a calendar and count 14 days including the first day of the blood stain.
3. Mark the 14th day with a pen.
4. Mark 3 days before the 14th day, and mark 2 days after the 14th day.
6. You will notice you have 6 days marked.

These 6 days are your ovulation/fertile days also known as unsafe period.
That is if you have sex on any of these days, then you have 98% chances of being pregnant.
7. Do this every month diligently

EVERY OTHER DAY IS YOUR SAFE PERIOD.
For example:

1. If your period is 11th which was yesterday.

2. 14 days after the first day of the blood stain will be on 24h of this Nov month (2weeks after) counting from 11th.

3. 14th day is on the 24th February.

4. 3days before the 14th day is 21, 22, 23.

5. 2days after 24th February
is 25th and 26th.

6. 21th-26th February (6days) is when you are ovulating.

That's your fertile window and period.
