The mistake I made prior to 7 October was believing that the majority of the world were decent people who were not antisemitic. Since then, my eyes have been opened.
/1
The feeling of being gaslit on any level is uncomfortable, and it makes you feel a little like you're going crazy. A lot of Jews are probably feeling like that but it's hard to cling on to truth when a lot of people join in the abuse, even people you trusted.
/2
The facts aren't really as negotiable as people make out. We know that there's two groups in conflict. We know that one of those parties openly declares their ONLY goal is genocide and ethnically cleansing the other.
/3
We know this because it's in their charter, they say it openly, loudly and proudly, they put it in their chants, they are *proud* of it. We also know the other group has never wanted anything other than to be left in peace.
/4
We *know* the vast majority of Palestinian civilians support murdering Jews and annihilating their country. We know this because of polls, because they say it on TV, because they teach it in their classrooms and cheer over Jewish corpses.
/5
We *know* these people started a war, because they live broadcast themselves doing it. Then went on TV and openly and proudly said they would do it again and again. And we *know* they have hostages which they are mistreating, raping and murdering.
/6
We *know* they don't want peace, because that's been tried over and over and people seeking peace don't invade other countries and live broadcast themselves murdering people. We know because they SAY SO. Very, very openly.
/7
We *know* that these people will use any freedom to travel into Israel to murder its people. We know they would use any advantage to indiscriminately kill Israeli civilians. We know that they'd use freedom of import to bring in weapons to murder more people. We know.
/8
We *know* that there is no "aparteid". We know that despite no surrounding country offering equal citizenship to Jews, that Jews used their *own* independence to do it better, and differently and that its outrageous that the world pretends they're the ones discriminating.
/9
We *know* that there has never been any ethnic cleansing of Arab Muslims or anyone else in Israel since 1948. But a whole shit load before that. We know we're being gaslit on an industrial scale with every single bullshit accusation.
/10
We *know* that Palestine is a cess pit of Islamic extremism where nobody has human rights, civil rights or any rights. We know kids are being indoctrinated to war and hate. We know aid money is funding luxe terrorism and we know the world turns a blind eye.
/11
We *know* no country on planet earth would tolerate thousands of terror attacks and missiles fired at it with the sole aim of murdering its civilians. We know Israel spends *billions* on defending itself from crazies day after day after day.
/12
We *know* that the UN is enabling terrorism and deliberately and unjustly undermining the very existence of a sovereign democratic nation. We know their *own staff* celebrate murder and moonlight as terrorists.
/13
We *know* our NGOs and academia are compromised, and that antisemitism is being peddled to a point our kids aren't safe and can't even attend college or uni without racist harrassment and abuse.
/14
We *know* what antisemitism is. We know the difference between "criticising Israel" and ripping down posters if kidnapped BABIES. We *know* no other minority would ever be subjected to the hate Jews are experiencing because we have spent our lives defending others.
/15
We *know* Jews are from Judea. We know we have as much right to be in the middle east as an Arab or Muslim does. We know no other indigenous people in human history have been told they're not entitled to a connection with their own land.
/16
We *know* that there's absolutely no way Jews could live in some kind of fantasy bilateral democratic equal state with Palestinians. We know this because they don't want that kind of state and no Palestinian movement for that has EVER EXISTED.
/17
We know that more food and aid is going into Gaza than probably any humanitarian crisis in history. We know that Egypt has closed its borders and no one seems to care. We know that half the photos and videos put out are demonstrable bull shit.
/18
We know 'zionism', didn't cause antisemitism. We know being a dhimmi isn't being equal. We know being murdered, exiled and subjugated isn't "peaceful" and we know that the entire situation is one big, long and transparent bull shit.
/19
What took me time to realise is that *most* people (unless they're genuinely a half wit) knows all this too. They know perfectly well ain't nobody in Palestine "resisting" for any reason other that murder, and re-colonising Israel so it can be ISLAMIC.
/20
And they just don't care. Because, similar to the Nazis and the *millions* of people around the world who were sympathetic to Hitlers ideology that Jews were uniquely malignant people, these people genuinely are so antisemitic that they are happy to root for their death
/21
People are, in many cases, both stupid, and beset by their *own* form of evil. Those people would like to see Israel annihilated and for Hamas to do their worst. That would make them happy, just like it did 80 years ago when the last movement tried it.
/22
It really doesn't matter to them what that means in practice. They don't think that far ahead. And it was only after 7 October that I realised people were like this. And it has been such a deeply sad experience, but I find myself pitying them more than us. Shame on them all.

🧵 Lebanon - another case study of the marriage between "the left" and Islamic takeovers.
I'm half Lebanese. And while a thread on the full history would go on for hours, I find this particular part very interesting...
/1
Like the whole area, Lebanon was colonised multiple times over and Islam swept over the country, and like everywhere else, the Christians, Jews and other minorities were made dhimmi. So the story of Arab imperialism is repeated.
/2
But unusually, there was much resistance to forced conversion so the Christian population rather uniquely remained a majority. The eventual move to a Muslim majority occurred for many reasons.
/3
The mere fact everyone reels off this phrase as confirmation of an antisemitic age-old trope is in itself proof that the *real* propaganda system is working. After all, other lobbies operate truly silently.

I'm not going to spend all day researching funding and networks of connections, but I will provide an example of what I'm talking about in the form of the Qatar Foundation
Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development was founded in 1995 by the then emir of Qatar. It is funded by the Qatari state as far as I can see.

I don't usually wade into the trans debate, but I've come to a point where I think proponents of this movement are so aggressive and unreasonable that it requires standing up to.
/1
I have gen-z children, so I've personally met several "trans" people and my observations are that a variety of things are at play.
/2
One I met looks extremely feminine (as feminine as you can be), acts extremely feminine, sounds extremely feminine and yet declares herself "non binary". She has a history of childhood sexual sbuse and I believe that she's struggling with her gender because

🧵 The Myth of the Happy Dhimmi - when will it be discredited?
A thread about *real* apartheid, liberation from opression, and decolonisation by colonisers.
/1
Much of this thread leans on quotes from Lyn Julius, a writer who, like me is the British-born daughter of Iraqi-Jewish refugees. And, like me, and most descendants of Iraqi Jews, she knows the truth behind the myth.
/2
"Today, any connection with slavery, however tenuous, is enough to make historical figures into non-persons. It’s time to treat the subjugation of Jews in Arab lands with the same seriousness"
/3
From 1750 to 1945 a heated debate endured in Western Europe, coined, "The Jewish Question", which pondered of Jewish emancipation- in simple terms a debate over whether they were entitled to equality.
1/5
For two hundred years, the question was asked. In the 19th century hundreds of articles and books were written on the subject, debating resettlement and deportation of Jews from Europe. Some argued they could only deserve equality if they gave up their religion.
2/5
Karl Marx argued that society could not be free from the oppression of capitalism without removing Jews from society entirely. Adolph Hitler agreed, and embarked on his own "solution" to the Jewish Question. The majority of Jews were subsequently wiped off the planet.
3/5
The thing that really winds me up about the global obsession with Palestine is the moral superiority some claim, while indisputably engaging in a clearly racist motivated obsession with anything that involves Jews.
/1
Coming from a family myself that are refugees from *actual* ethnic cleansing (rather than the Palestinian version which is essentially trying to ethnically cleanse someone and failing spectacularly), I perhaps have a bit less empathy than most.
/2
I have, after all, managed to get through my parents relocating thousands of miles with just a single suitcase *without* becoming a terrorist or a racist or celebrating people being raped or burned alive, buy hey, that's just me.
