In 2018, Mark Zuckerberg was one of the most hated CEOs on the planet.

6 years later, he wears chains, surfs in tuxedos and fights Lex Fridman.

Everyone seems to love him.

It's the most brilliant PR transformation of the century and everyone needs to understand why it worked: 🧵Image
Image
Remember this scrawny, awkward hacker?

Now, he’s a jacked CEO who fights Lex Fridman & wears chains.

Here’s what you missed about Zuck’s PR transformation:
Image
Image
2004: A nervous 19-year-old in flip-flops launches Facebook from his dorm room.

2024: A confident 40-year-old in gold chains wakeboarding while holding the American flag.

What happened in between?
It's not just about looks.

Zuck's gone from awkward Congressional hearings to scrapping with UFC fighters.

From "smoking meats" videos to receiving gold chains from T-Pain.

This isn't an accident...
Coincidentally, it's coincided with Meta getting its mojo back.

Meta stock is up 60% this year (& 160% in the last 5).

Zuck's transformation mirrors Meta's:

• Meta: From scandal-plagued social media to AI innovator
• Zuck: From robotic CEO to relatable tech bro

The secret? Image
Zuck's new strategy: Authenticity.

He's not pretending to be a normal guy anymore. He's owning his billionaire status.

• Wakeboarding in a tux? Check.
• Collecting designer chains? Yep.
• Training with MMA fighters? You bet.

Other transformations we're seeing:
Zuck's whole wardrobe got an upgrade:

• Out: Dishwater tees and hoodies
• In: Capri cabana shirts and Yeezy-esque sweatshirts

And:

• He's let his hair grow out into Gen-Z curls
• He's engaging with fashion designers in IG comments

The secret: Image
While Elon Musk picks culture war fights on X, Zuck's projecting a "whatever bro, I'm doing me" vibe.

By embracing his quirky billionaire status instead of hiding it, Zuck's become MORE relatable.

Now, he's just spending time with his family & spending his billions as we would.
The big takeaway:

Whether or not you liked Zuck before, you probably like him more now.

And it's all down to him just being himself.

This is what people get wrong about personal brand:
They think a personal brand is about being someone else.

That a personal brand = the LinkedIn influencer types.

But Zuck's transformation shows you:

Your authentic self is what leads to the best outcomes.

@iamjasonlevin puts this extremely well:
"If you want to be loved by masses, stop pretending to be normal and middle class and acting ashamed of your wealth (no one finds shame cool)."

This goes for whoever you are:
If you're just starting out to entrepreneurship, don't try and share lessons from a place of authority.

Those who ACTUALLY have authority won't respect you for it.

Be authentic. Share your journey & struggles instead.

Now, you're probably wondering what MY authority is here:
The reason I can share this lesson is because I work with founders to craft their personal brands online.

I KNOW Zuck's lesson applies. I see it in the results we get for founders we work with:

Authenticity sells.

People crave it, and they can see through the BS.

So:
Tell your real story online.

Share the successes, wins and wisdom.

The benefits are infinite: You'll attract people who align with your vision in the thousands.

Hiring, investment, sales — all become a breeze.

Just be authentic.

Recognize these faces?

2 owners of Twitter.

One is a workaholic. The other meditates in the Himalayas.

And they each have 1 extraordinary difference in philosophy: 🧵 Image
You know Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey.

But you've never seen them compared like this.

Why?

Their contrasting philosophies reveal a shocking truth about how you'll approach work forever:
The Obsessive vs. The Minimalist

Elon: Slept on Tesla's factory floor during "production hell"

Jack: Fasts 22 hours a day and walks 5 miles to work

Both reshaped tech. But HOW?

Let's dissect their routines to uncover the secret:

The man who’s predicted the rise of EVERY social media:

Early investor in Facebook, Twitter and Slack.

And he just said “In 10 years, every company will be a media company”.

Gary Vee’s 5 predictions on the future of wealth creation (& why you should care): Image
Prediction 1: The Attention Economy

Every second of your day is filled with companies bombarding you.

Attention is the new currency. And Gary's predicting a gold rush.

So much so that Gary's new catchphrase is 'I day trade attention'.

What does this mean for you?
Instead of being a content consumer, you need to start becoming a creator.

Instead of having your attention harvested, you need to harvest.

Attention is today what oil was 100 years ago.

And the best companies are recognizing this:

Facebook offered him $3 Billion for his company.

He turned them down.

Now, his company is worth 5x what Facebook offered.

5 lessons from the crazy story of Evan Spiegel: Image
Imagine being 23 and turning down $3 billion.

Most would call you crazy. Your co-founders might even sue you.

But now, Snapchat's worth between $15-30B (based on its market cap this year).

The real story is wilder than you think...
2011: Spiegel launches Snapchat as a college project.

2013: Facebook's Zuckerberg flies to LA to meet Spiegel personally.

The offer: $3 billion in cash.

Spiegel's response?

This guy faced a murder trial.

Now he’s the King of a $160M empire.

And you won't believe how much he's making from the Olympics...

Here’s the untold story of Snoop Dogg’s business success: Image
It's the Olympics, and Snoop's everywhere.

• Touring the Louvre
• Commentating on equestrian events
• Getting swimming lessons from Michael Phelps

But this isn't just for fun. Snoop's got a massive deal with NBC.

How massive? Let's break it down...
According to reports, Snoop is earning up to:

• $500,000 PER DAY (plus expenses...)
• A potential $15M total payout

That's more than most Olympians will make in their entire careers.

But why is NBC shelling out so much?

This man can predict the future.

He was an early investor in Uber, Twitter, and Notion.

And he just said "In 50 years, everyone will be working for themselves."

Naval Ravikant's 5 predictions on the future of wealth creation (and why you should care): Image
1. The Rise of Micro-Entrepreneurs

Naval says in 50-100 years, we'll all be working for ourselves.

Most of human history has operated in hierarchies: The idea of "working for someone else".

But the 'Information Age' is bringing a surprising trend:
The internet provides infinite connectivity & scale. Your unique skills can be seen by people around the world.

You're no longer confined just to the jobs near you.

Here's Naval's vision for the world:

Elon Musk rebranded "Twitter" to 𝕏 and everyone thought it was doomed.

He was right. They were wrong.

It's the branding masterclass of the decade and every entrepreneur needs to understand why it worked: Image
On July 23, 2023, Musk erased 15 years of brand recognition overnight.

The iconic blue bird & familiar 'Twitter' name — gone.

Most thought it was impulsive & self-centred.

But they were wrong.

To understand why, we need to go back to March 1999:
Musk had co-founded X. com, one of the world's first online banks.

In 2000, X. com merged with Confinity — becoming what we know today as PayPal.

Musk was ousted as CEO.

But he never let go of the X. com domain...
