The Blessed Virgin Mary is Queen of Heaven because her Son, Jesus Christ, is the King of Israel and the Heavenly King of the universe.

Short 🧵of some countries where Our Lady is Queen too. Image
The Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of Poland. On 1 April 1656, during a Mass in the Latin Cathedral of Lwów (today Lviv, Ukraine), John II Casimir entrusted the Commonwealth to the protection of the Our Lady, and proclaimed her Queen of the Polish Crown and of his countries Image
King John IV of acclaimed Our Lay Queen and Patroness of Portugal, on March 25, 1646, following a referendum of the Empire that lasted 6 years after which his subjects affirmed that they believed that the Blessed Virgin Mary was the physical reigning Queen of Portugal. Image
Our Lady, Queen of Ireland. Walter Lynch, Bishop of Clonfert, was forced to flee Ireland in 1654 due to the Cromwellian persecution of Catholics, taking with him this painting of Our Lady, Consoler of the Afflicted. He found refuge in the Diocese of Győr, Hungary. When he died in exile in 1663, he bequeathed this painting to the Diocese of Győr. On March 17th, 1697 during the time of great suffering in Ireland, the painting shed blood and tears, from henceforth the image was called the Queen of Ireland.Image
The evening of 21 August 1879, Our Lady, St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist, appeared at the south gable end of a Church in Knock, Ireland. She would be venerated as Our Lady of Knock, Queen of Ireland. Image
Our Lady, Queen of Vietnam. The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared at La Vang in Quảng Trị, Vietnam, in 1798. Holding the Baby Jesus in her arms, she appeared to suffering Christians who fled to the wild forest jungle of La Vang to avoid the persecution of Emperor Cảnh Thịnh. Image

I honestly think many Americans are misunderstanding the European context here. The European Union struck financial deals with Tunisia, Morocco and Mauritania, to stop illegal migration into Europe. These countries used(s) EU tax payer money to dump non-Muslim black African migrants in the Sahara desert to die, thereby meeting EU targets to still get paid.
This isn’t that widely known. The Pope himself hasn’t addressed this head on. He has spoken about migrant dumping in the Sahara, without calling out the Muslims who do this to Christian black Africans, whilst letting fellow Muslims through to attempt to cross the Mediterranean.
This is a massive scandal, and the world doesn’t care because the victims are Christian and Black Africans, and the perpetrators are the Kingdom of Morocco, the Republic of Tunisia and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

It is being reported that Sister Agnes Katsuko Sasagawa, the seer to whom the Blessed Virgin Mary had appeared in 1973 in Akita, Japan, died on 15 August 2024, the Solemnity of the Assumption, a truly blessed day to enter to her eternal reward.

Short 🧵on Akita. Image
At the time of the apparitions Sister Agnes Sasagawa was a novice of the Institute of the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. She had been born prematurely, suffered from numerous health issues as a result. She was more or less totally deaf at the time. Image
After hearing a wooden statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary speak to her, Sasagawa’s hearing miraculously improved. She had already had a vision of Mary while recovering in hospital, for another unrelated illness, about four years before she joined the convent. Image

Posting a thread of 'The clock of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ', by Saint Alphonsus Maria Liguori. Tweets will added to the thread at the exact time of the events in Jerusalem, almost two millennia ago. Image
At six o'clock in the evening. Jesus enters into the Cenacle, to make there the Pasch and to wash the feet of his apostles, and even of Judas. Image
I adore thee, my divine Jesus! in this profound humility. Grant me the grace of abasing myself beneath all creatures, and purify my soul from all the stains of sin. We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee. Because by Thy Holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
