The U.S. is considering whether to assist Ukraine in maintaining and expanding its gains in Russia's Kursk region. Discussions include whether to provide additional armored vehicles or increase ammunition supplies, though no decisions have been made yet.

The 80th Airborne Brigade, reportedly moving through the village of Martynovka. They continue their work in the Kursk region on this festive day. Russians claimed numerous times that it had ousted Ukrainian troops from the village.

Today, on Independence Day, ukrainian defenders were awarded by commander in chief Syrskyi for their active efforts on the Kursk front. Their actions have saved thousands of civilian lives in the border regions.

To push Ukrainian forces out of the Kursk region, the Kremlin would need about 20 brigades (around 50,000 troops), which it currently lacks, according to The New York Times. The article notes that Ukrainian forces have not yet established a large system of defensive trenches, mined the area, or set up anti-tank barriers.
