So John and I went off the grid on our own at the Minnesota State Fair on a long Sunday afternoon journey in search of our friends' blue ribbon salsa 🍅🏆 and saw some really cool stuff along the way…
At first we thought it was in the horticulture 🪴🍎🐝 building so we asked some U of M master gardeners 🌸 and somehow ended up surrounded by the state's biggest pumpkins but no salsa...
Then a Christmas tree 🌲 decorated with all state fair ornaments…out of season but still!
We then made our way down Cooper and ended up with the clog 👞 dancers (would have liked to take a longer video but John really wanted to find that salsa!)
...And then the lumberjack 🪓🪵 contest....
On to the cat 🐱 and dog 🐶 pavilion and the "purrniture" section...that place was filled with lots of HAPPY 😊🐱 cat ladies but no salsa.
I didn't really think we'd find the salsa there but I liked this poster.
It was getting hot 🥵 so we tried the FREE mister 🚿
And then the craft beer 🍻 flights hanger and live music 🎶...You need a break on long journeys.
Then we got hungry and ate a schnitzel sandwich 🥪 with Farmers Union President Gary Wertish on the cool back patio of their booth (not free but really good). Sandwich not pictured because we ate it.
Ran into my former state deputy Kali Cruz, her husband Santo and their flock of five girls (the oldest two were born when she worked with me)! The girls had other plans besides looking for salsa.

Yesterday on the Senate floor, I told the story of an #ImmigrantHealthHero on the frontlines treating COVID-19 patients at Mayo Clinic. While she's saving lives, she's worried she won't be able to stay here to do her work while filling out paperwork to prove she’s “worth keeping"
President Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, “Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear.” These doctors are choosing service over fear. Saving lives, saving someone’s grandma is more important to them than fear.
That’s why I’m leading efforts to reauthorize the Conrad 30 Program which allows foreign doctors trained in the U.S. to work in underserved areas and keep doing their heroic service for our country during this pandemic.
COUNTY 15: Ended last night in Council Bluffs, Iowa with energized Dems ready to #WinBig! Thanks Steve & Chris for hosting, my friend @FranParrCB for coming & our great field team @emmaforamy & Jonah @Winn_Big for being amazing organizers out here & meeting people where they are.
@FranParrCB @emmaforamy @Winn_Big COUNTY 16: Harrison County! Good morning from Logan, Iowa. Needed that cup of coffee from Bunkhouse Cafe Too to start the day… hitting another 9 counties today! #ForAllofAmerica

COUNTY 7: Decatur! In Lamoni, Iowa (population: 2,300). We’re 43 days away from the Iowa caucus & people are showing up because they know what it’s going to take to #WinBig: we need to bring people with us, go everywhere & leave no one behind. #ForAllofAmerica
COUNTY 8: Thanks Sarah & Steve, Clarke County Dems Co-Chairs & everyone who came to Osceola, IA today to talk about infrastructure, affordable housing and so much more. From big cities to small towns, people want an optimistic economic agenda and an opportunity to succeed.
COUNTY 9: Union County! And Malcolm here just gave me the Iowa “golden ticket” - a commit to caucus card signed by him! #ForAllofAmerica
COUNTY 1 on our #ForAllOfAmerica bus tour: Henry County, Iowa! Sharing my message from last night’s debate: what unites us is far stronger than what divides us and we must beat Donald Trump in 2020.
COUNTY 2: In 2012, Jefferson County voted for President Obama to serve a second term.
In 2016, they flipped and voted for Donald Trump.
I'm here today making my case in 2020: we can and will win in rural America. #ForAllofAmerica
COUNTIES 3 & 4: Van Buren & Davis. Stopped at Misty’s for a malt and then Sidelines Grill. People here know that it’s time to bring this country together. That’s what I’ll do: unite our country with an optimistic economic agenda and beat Donald Trump. #ForAllofAmerica

The Trump Administration supports totally undoing the Affordable Care Act.
I’m headed to the Senate floor to read the letters of 100 families from across the country who would suffer if these protections went away.
Because of the Affordable Care Act, Delaney is able to get mammogram screenings to see if she carries the same genetic trait that several of her relatives have.
Kate calls her son, "the baby that almost didn’t happen" after battling cancer. She wrote, "Because of the ACA, I faced a future of hope."
