‼️ Russia: “The Ministry of Energy has closed statistics on the production of petroleum products”

These were previously displayed on Industrial Production report that was released monthly.

Here is the link to Rostat Report “ABOUT INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION
IN JANUARY-JULY 2024” that was released today.

If we scroll down, we see a general category remains for “production of coke and petroleum products”

Note: Coke here likely refers to Petroleum Coke sometimes called petcoke that is by byproduct of a refinery coker processing unit. (Coking coal is something else)

After that there is a table titled “Release of the most important types of products”

This the table where the change is located. (It’s located further down)

To more easily show what is missing, I’m going to compare this to the previous months report (left) compare to this months (right)

I’ve drawn a red box around the categories that have been excluded in the new report.

The categories that are now missing are

👉 Diesel Fuel
👉 Straight Gasoline
👉 Fuel Oil
👉 Liquid propane and butane
👉 Gas condensate

This continues the Russian government’s trend of hiding a variety of data from the public.

In May other statistics related to fuel production was hidden.

For example, this report provided weekly stats on gasoline & diesel production. Not any more.

It is worth noting that news has leaked of lying on the part of Russia and the oil refinery.

Or Oil refineries completing contracts for supply fuel that they KNOW they won’t be able to fulfill in order to make their sales numbers look better.

In general, Russia often hides things because they’re about to get caught in a lie, or they don’t want anyone to know the truth.

They aren’t hiding it because things are going well.
