These are some of the people I know who are buried in Arlington: A SEAL who left an infant son and was the second man through the door into an AQI safehouse. First man shot and killed instantly, he went in anyway to save his buddy. A Marine Lieutenant who was hustling his men off
of a rooftop under attack from a machine gun in a mosque minaret, he was the last to get off, was shot in the back, and bled out in a dim stairwell. A Marine enlisted sniper who was shot while bravely hunting an Iraqi sniper who was killing Marines. A SEAL from the Naval
Academy who hopped on the first helo into the Korengal Valley to rescue a small team overrun by the Taliban. The helo took an RPG on final approach and that was that. Several more SEALs from Extortion 17, one of whom I shared a locker with, which was a helicopter shot down with
an entire assault troop, air crew, and other specialists resulting in the biggest loss of life in the Afghan war.
The ground in Arlington is sacred. There is no place in America more sacred. Donald Trump gives thumbs ups over the graves of the best of my generation, like a
a campaign stop at a diner. He is gross, weird, and deeply dishonorable. It saddens me that so many in this country will defend this garbage man, doing garbage things in a garbage way on hallowed ground. I cannot speak for the dead, but I speak for myself: Donald Trump is a pig.
