The webpage for schools has a link on “sized appropriately” which if you click on then says the number in the “fine print.” It’s almost as if they are trying hard to hide it.
Bottom line up front please.

Physics in both schools and skilled nursing facilities are exactly the same (both indoor spaces) and both link to CDC Ventilation webpage. On May 12, 2023, CDC made sure to state the key number at top of their webpage: 5 air changes per hour.
Why don’t we know? SF is relying on OLD-SCHOOL 🏫targeted methods, kind of like a "magnifying glass," 🔎 to look for influenza A and H5.

SF has yet not upgraded to more ADVANCED genetic sequencing of the wastewater samples, analogous to a "zoom lens" 📸 on our phones that can check for mutations 🧬 to reveal if this virus has begun transmitting among humans or not.
METHODS: To track individual particles as they flowed from cough to inhalation they DID EVERYTHING:
(1) LASER photography
(2) AEROSOL measurements in lab
(3) computer SIMULATIONS with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) on using parallel computation with 960 CPU cores

SETUP: The experiments tested how liquid aerosols EMITTED from a cough machine are TRANSPORTED to breathing mannequin placed 5 feet away directly underneath the ceiling fan, with the fan OFF versus ON
BACKGROUND: COVID-19 found in wastewater was presumed to be mostly from humans but with H5N1 it maybe humans or animals (birds, cows, etc).
THE PROBLEM: The wastewater testing in California and on the new national CDC dashboard amplify public worry about the fear of H5N1 spreading in humans without telling us whether it is human or animal origin, or if the
virus is starting to transmit efficiently among humans.
