77 million views over the past 12 months, with nothing but an iPhone
I follow the EXACT same blueprint for every video I make…
Here’s how you can copy it and go viral on command:
Every single one of my videos is mass-market, and falls into one of these 4 buckets:
- Life advice
- Controversial takes
- Observation about society
- Travel & city-specific content
I've had 19 videos get over 1 million views, and all 19 fall into one of these categories.
Let's dive into each of them:
Life advice
If you're on Twitter, you need to recognize that you're probably ahead of 90% of the population in terms of mindset, skillset, and career advancement...
Use this to your advantage
This video got 1 million views talking about something a lot of us have done, moving into an expensive place:
Controversial takes
I made a video talking about labor arbitrage, paying overseas VAs $4/hr to format spreadsheets and handle data entry for our businesses
This is standard for anyone in online business, but it got 500k views because i had 1000s of normies triggered in the comments LOL
Observations about society
Talking about society as a whole is probably the easiest way to go viral, because everyone in the world can relate to it
This video about social awareness got 6 million views:
Travel content
Running an online biz gives you the freedom to travel the world and see dope places
Most people our age are chained to a corporate job and can travel MAYBE twice a year
If you're constantly going to new cities / seeing new venues, post about it
A video I made about a bar in SoCal went viral AS I WAS SITTING THERE and I started getting recognized by staff and other people at the bar
All of these frameworks are great, but you aren't going viral if you don't have sauce
You have 1-2 seconds to hook someone in...
Every single second of your video counts, with the HOOK being most important
You'll notice in all of my videos, I speak in absolutes and have confidence in my delivery
"The COOLEST bar in California"
"The BIGGEST sign of intelligence"
"Most UNDERRATED vacation spot"
My hooks do two things:
- Immediately piques the viewers' interest to continue watching
- Sparks an emotional reaction that gets them to comment positively or negatively
Both of these things massively boost retention and help my videos hit the algo
After the hook, I go RIGHT into storytelling and giving examples
There is zero break between the hook and the story.
Like I said, every single second of the video matters...
I don't say "here's what I mean by that" "here's who I am"
No.
Hook, IMMEDIATELY roll into storytelling.
No cuts, one take
Even if you have the SAUCE and are a good storyteller, you still aren't going viral if your video doesn't appeal to mass market
Your top 3 email deliverability tips video isn't going to get you a million views
Your 3 agency tips isn't going to get you more than 255 views
"But Christian I'm not gonna generate any leads for my agency if I just make mass market videos!"
False
This video is extremely mass-market and broad...
But fast forward to the end, and there's a CTA to DM me for more information on Internet Money
The video got 400k views and I probably had 50 inbound DM leads from this video
If you hook people in with a broad topic, go viral, AND transition the video into a CTA to collect leads, you'll have an organic money printer
Not to mention, all press is good press
If people consume videos nonstop from you, they'll trust you and want to learn more about what you do
Best of all?
Viral videos are the BEST ad creatives
You already have proof of concept that people want to watch the video, now put a bit of ad spend behind it
Plus, if you're good at recording organic videos you'll naturally be good at filming and scripting ads
Hope this helped!
