π¨ Following the initiation of the Palestine movementβs boycott of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) in 2022, 26 DSA chapters have passed strong and enforceable commitments to defend Palestinian liberation and reject Zionism within their organization. π¨
Last Saturday, members of the DSA have now introduced a national motion β βMake DSA an Anti-Zionist Organizationβ β to commit the organization and its elected officials to Palestine.
In March of 2022, PYM, along with @NationalSJP and 4 other Arab organizations, issued a boycott of the DSA over its lack of accountability for DSA-endorsed elected officials who had advanced the Zionist cause, traveled to Israel, or accepted financial support from lobby groups.
The Palestinian Youth Movement has created a resource list that provides an introductory level breakdown of the events of October 2023 and the history that birthed it.
PYM is participating in demonstrations in cities across North America in support of our people in Gaza as the Zionist occupation continues its relentless attacks. Hereβs a thread of actions, happening between Friday Oct 13 - Sunday Oct 15 ππΌππΌ

GAZA IS UNDER ATTACK! In the past hour, at least 8 Palestinians have been killed and 44 injured, including 5-year-old child Alaa Qadoum, in Zionist airstrikes on several locations throughout Occupied Gaza. (1/6)
The Zionist entity bears full responsibility for the escalation against Gaza, which it is carrying out in an attempt to undo the rebuilding efforts and political reunification that have taken place since the popular uprisings of May 2021 and the Sword of Jerusalem Battle. (2/6)
Palestinians remain united in this effort to beat back yet another show of Zionist aggression, and stand unequivocally with our resistance as they attempt to repel the Occupiers. (3/6)
Yesterday, Zionist forces murdered Ghufran Warasneh, a 31 year old journalist from Al-Arroub camp near Hebron. She was the eldest in her family and the main support for her younger siblings.
Ghufran was going to her first day of work at a new job at a local radio station when she was shot in the chest.
βWe were waiting for her to be the first to go on air as our new voice, but instead we received the news of her killing." The station said.
Ghufran is the second journalist killed by occupation forces in less than a month, after the murder of Shireen Abu Akleh.
Mourners in Ghufranβs community were attacked by the Zionist army as they were carrying her body to burial, much like what occurred during Shireenβs funeral.
