Yesterday, Zionist forces murdered Ghufran Warasneh, a 31 year old journalist from Al-Arroub camp near Hebron. She was the eldest in her family and the main support for her younger siblings. Image Ghufran was going to her first day of work at a new job at a local radio station when she was shot in the chest.

“We were waiting for her to be the first to go on air as our new voice, but instead we received the news of her killing." The station said.

Japanese freedom fighter Fusako Shigenobu was released from prison in Japan today after 20 years in detention. She is lifelong comrade of the Palestinian people and struggle. Shigenobu was born in Tokyo in 1945 & first became radicalized as part of the ‘60s student movement in Japan, where she led organizing efforts against US imperialism in Japan & globally. Shigenobu eventually joined Palestinians in Lebanon to fight alongside them for over 30 years

Today marks the 5th anniversary of the martyrdom of intellectual and resistance fighter Basel al-Araj by zionist forces. Basel was a community organizer who engaged Palestinian youth in popular education about the history of Palestinian resistance. In 2016, Basel, along with 5 of his comrades, was arrested, tortured, and interrogated by Palestinian Authority police for his powerful political writing and agitation against the PA’s normalization with the zionist state.

April marks the start of what is known as the 1936 Great Revolt in Palestine, a national uprising led by Palestinians against the colonial admin of the British Mandate + the expansion of the Zionist colonial project in Palestine For three years, Palestinians struggled against this using various forms of resistance.

What started off as a general strike on April 19, quickly spread to all major Palestinian cities, affecting all business, communications, and government services.
