🧵🧵Another optics smokescreen from Biden & Harris. Parole may not be renewed for some Venezuelans flown in through the unlawful Biden-Harris CHNV program, but there are numerous other ways they could be allowed to stay. cbsnews.com/news/venezuela…
They will likely apply for asylum, Temporary Protected Status, or, given ICE's low enforcement rates under this administration, simply not be priorities for removal.
This lack of enforcement is part of the reason the Non-Detained Docket has doubled in size since the Trump admin.
Remember, a recent DHS Inspector General report found that the Biden-Harris admin still has NO plan to remove 77,000 Afghan nationals who were paroled in 2021/2022.
The same report also "found DHS does not have a process for monitoring parole expiration."oig.dhs.gov/sites/default/…
So, it is hard to believe this administration has a plan to remove far greater numbers of inadmissible aliens paroled into the country through the unlawful, and fraud-ridden, CHNV program.
That includes Venezuelans whose parole will soon expire.

🧵🧵We're not sure where Democrats got their numbers for the floor debate today, but during every full month of the Biden administration, including last month, encounters have been higher than President Trump's final month in office.
All of these numbers are from CBP:
Nationwide, total encounters by CBP were 92,746 in December 2020 (Trump's last full month), but 205,019 in June 2024!
This includes illegal aliens coming across the Southwest, maritime, and northern borders, as well as inadmissible encounters at official ports of entry.
At the Southwest border specifically, CBP recorded 73,994 encounters in December 2020, and 130,419 last month.
This includes illegal entries between ports of entry, as well as inadmissible aliens entering via CBP One.
🧵The individual stories of crimes committed and tragedies caused by illegal aliens on Secretary Mayorkas' watch are heartbreaking.
Just a couple of weeks ago, a Venezuelan illegal alien who was paroled into the country in 2022 murdered Georgia nursing student Laken Riley in broad daylight while she was on a run.
In February 2024, a Venezuelan national was arrested in Campbell County, Virginia, for sexual offenses against a minor.
He crossed into the U.S. illegally in September 2023 and was released.
🚨NEW: Documents obtained by @HomelandGOP detail the Biden administration's shocking abuse of the CBP One app. homeland.house.gov/2023/10/23/new…
The documents show 278,431 appointments scheduled through the CBP One app between Jan. 12, 2023, and Sept. 30, 2023, with 266,846 inadmissible aliens released into the interior.
Here are some examples:
❌ Out of 20,948 appointments made by Russian nationals, 19,780 were released on parole, a rate of 94 percent.
❌ Out of 57,381 appointments made by Venezuelan nationals, 55,690 were released on parole, a rate of 97 percent.
