ELECTION INTEGRITY: What if I told you that anyone could go online and claim to be a citizen living overseas, get a ballot, and vote without ever having to prove your identity or citizenship? Sounds crazy, right? What if I told you federal law made it illegal for the state to attempt to verify your identity and citizenship? You don't even need to use your real name or even the name of a living person. Even crazier, right? Well that's exactly what the UOCAVA allows and requires.
The census estimates there are less than 3 million Americans living overseas, but the Democrats are telling donors to their Vote From Abroad Program that there are more than 9 million. So anyone with a computer can go to the FVAP website and fill out a few forms and be registered to vote and receive a ballot - you don't have to provide a real name or address and driver's license and last four of SSN are all optional (fun fact the state isn't allowed to confirm the last four of the SSN you provide matches the name or DoB you provided).
