Finally, somebody with the brain and the balls to tell the truth!

Recently, the President of Finland Alexander Stubb presented four conditions of a "Peace Plan" during an interview which Fox News.

1/n Image
2/ Long-lasting peace in Ukraine and in the world is possible only if the following four conditions are met:

1. Territory. All l territories along the 1991 border should be returned to Ukraine. If not, it's only a matter of time before the new war breaks up again in the future.
3/ 2. Security guarantees. Ukraine should be included in NATO or be given similar concrete security guarantees. If not, it's only a matter of time before the war flares up again.
4/ 3. Punishment. Those responsible for the “special military operation” must be punished. And not only the master of the Kremlin, but all who was involved.
5/ If not, it's only a matter of time until other criminals see that crimes are not punished and they can do whatever they want.
6/ 4. Reparations. Full compensation for material, human, and other losses. If not, it’s only a matter of time until both the Kremlin czars and their international counterparts attack their neighbors.
7/ Alexander Stubb emphasized that this logic should work not because someone “cares for Ukraine.” Not for ethical reasons. But simple pragmatic reasons.
8/ If these 4 conditions are not met, it is only a matter of time until new "special military operations" take place all over the world.
9/ It is cheaper and more reliable to ensure that these 4 conditions are fulfilled now, than to have multiple wars emerge in the years to come.

Firsthand account of a Ukrainian soldier Igor Lutsenko about the retreat of his brigade from Vuhledar this week. It is a heavy but honest reading.

“The 72nd Brigade left Vuhledar battered, with heavy losses.

1/n
2/ Before that, the Russians had already reached the areas through which the brigade would retreat and set up firing positions in garages behind the cemetery.
3/ The 72nd’s withdrawal was brutal. Vehicles, armored carriers were hit and burned. After days of agony in the besieged city before that, the soldiers were drained. By the dawn of retreat, not all had the strength to move to try break through.

Today, Switzerland’s Parliament has recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide against the Ukrainian people.

As a historic reminder, the Holodomor was an act of genocide against Ukrainians, organized by the Sovies in 1932-1933 by means of an artificial mass famine.

1/n Image
2/ The genocide took millions of Ukrainian lives. No one knows the exact number of victims, but it could be up to 10 million people. It is one of the most darkest and horrific crimes against Ukraine.
3/ Artificial famine was not the first tool of russians to commit genocide in Ukraine. Russia has been systematically commiting genocide and ethnic cleansing in Ukraine for centuries. Leadership has changed but the mindset has been the same.

"If Russia wins, no state, and no border would feel secure. And the world would enter a new era of imperialist wars of conquest."

A brilliant piece in the Economist magazine from the author of “Sapiens” Yuval Noah Harari.

1/n Image
2/ He says that: "Humanity’s greatest political achievement has been the decline of war. That is now in jeopardy."
3/ By launching a criminal invasion, russia has threatened the future chance at security and prosperity everywhere in the world. This war is not just Ukraine's problem. Every single person on the planet will pay if russia profits from aggression.

Letting russia keep parts of Ukrainian territories will mean genocide of Ukrainian people.

Some think that if a country is occupied, people may just continue living peacefully under a different flag and pay taxes to a different government. That’s not the case.

1/n Image
2/ Very often the “peace” is followed by genocide from the occupier. There are lots of examples. A Maori-Moriori case is a very good example. If you do not know, here is a recap:
3/ A ship full of Maori warriors landed on the Island populated by the peaceful people of Moriori who lived without war for centuries. Instead of fighting, Moriori let Maori occupy their territories hoping that they would peacefully share the resources of the Island.

Why some smart people spread russian propaganda?

Recently, I had a conversation with a person from “academic circles” who claimed that people like Jeffrey Sachs, John Mearsheimer, Noam Chomsky cannot be russian propagandists because they are smart and well educated.

1/n Image
2/ First, being smart in one field does not make you an expert in another. Every single time I listen to Jeffrey Sachs speak about Ukriane, I am amazed at his ignorance on the issue. The guy maybe a decent economist but he knows nothing about the Ukrainian-russian history.
3/ Second, much smarter people than Sachs and company have dismantled their propaganda on numerous occasions. Hundreds of scientists have signed open letters written to these “experts” pointing out their incompetence on the Ukrainian-russian history.

Russian "opposition" is a joke.

Here is a wife of Navalny who says that “decolonizing russia is bad,” because these colonies have a shared history and “common background.”

1/n Image
2/ What common background do Chechens, Dagestanis, Bashkirs, Yakuts, Chuvashs, Circassians, Buryats, and Ingush have? Only one - they were all enslaved by russia. By the same talking, Ukraine should be part of russia as well.
3/ Many people in the west made Navalny into a martyr. He was not. During his life, Navalny did nothing to condemn or stop russian imperialism. He applauded russia's invasions of Georgia in 2008 and Crimea in 2014. He called not to send Javelins to Ukraine in April 2022.
