I'm 38.

When I was 32 I worked in a bank, went woke (then broke) & suffered depression.

Then I discovered Naval Ravikant's "How to get rich" post & made several million dollars by 38

8 of his insights that transformed my life (and will do the same for you): Image
@naval opened my eyes to the woke agenda.

He made me question DEI & the fabric of society

He's said so many wild things, I'm surprised he hasn't been canceled by the virtue signallers who are destroying the world

"How to Get Rich" is his best work. These are his best insights
@naval 1. "Seek wealth, not money or status."

Busy people are broke.

The only free people are those who use money to become 'time wealthy.'

But the temptation is to chase money & use it to buy status.

Only insecure people give a f*ck about status.
@naval 2. "There is no skill called 'business.' Avoid business magazines and business classes."

Business people are morons.

Soon as I left the corporate world everything got better.

There are doers and pretenders. Most corporations are full of pretenders (actors)

Build a business
@naval • As an employee you're a renter controlled by a rent seeker.

• As a one-person business or entrepreneur you're an owner & get all the rewards.

Start as an employee & become a business as quickly as possible.

Goal: 2B+ solopreneurs globally
3. "Learn to sell. Learn to build. If you can do both, you will be unstoppable"

In corporate I worked in sales. But I was a glorified order taker

Naval taught me to

• Build something after hours
• Understand ethical persuasion to sell

These 2 skills made me millions of dollars. College doesn't teach them.
4. "If you can't code, write books and blogs, record videos and podcasts."

People used to laugh at my writing.

In 2018 I doubled down on it.

Without attention you're broke & must ask for permission to get opportunities

But if you master content creation you can join the permissionless economy
@naval 5. "Study microeconomics, game theory, psychology, persuasion, ethics, mathematics, and computers."

I picked one: psychology.

Once you know how humans think their actions become predictable. You can build an online business just around that.
@naval Learning economics is the difference between poverty & wealth

It's how I learned about:

• Money printing
• Scarce assets
• The tax of inflation
• Why Bitcoin is so valuable
• Why the US debt will never get repaid

Learn basic economics or you'll be broke
6. "You’re not going to get rich renting out your time. You must own a piece of a business to gain financial freedom"

• Salary growth is too slow.
• Inflation erodes any pay rise

Governments steal your time through inflation + taxation.

A business gives you leverage that buys time back
@naval 7. "Play iterated games.

All the returns in life, whether in wealth, relationships, or knowledge, come from compound interest."

10,000 iteration not 10,000 hours.

Daily Habits + Long Term Goals = Compound Interest

Compound Interest = Freedom/Wealth
@naval 8. "When you're finally wealthy, you'll realize that it wasn't what you were seeking in the first place"

Now I've achieved wealth, thanks to Naval, money isn't the goal.

I measure happiness based on how many hours a day I get to spend with my 1 year old daughter.
@naval Final Thought

99% of people chase bullsh*t goals.

They're:

• Busy
• Full of excuses
• Tired/Burned out
• Slaves to society

Valuing your time + attention is how you set yourself free and quit playing status games.
@naval Naval Ravikant got rich by getting unlimited inbound opportunities.

That's how he became free. You can do the same.

This is Tim Ferriss.

He wrote the most clickbait book of the 2000s titled "The 4-Hour Workweek."

His weird approach to productivity makes the wokes scream "privileged." I've tried his formula for 10 years & it 100% works.

Here's his productivity philosophy: Image
1. "The biggest mistake you can make is to accept the norms of your time without questioning"

The norm is to work a 9-5 job

It's a lie. Jobs are taking more & more time. Many jobs are 16 hour work days with no weekends

What's weird is to do 4 hours of work a day in a flow state

The 9-5 version of "being productive" is B.S
2. "Luxury is feeling unrushed.

It is designing a life that allows you to do what you want with high leverage, with many options, all while feeling unrushed”

Instead of being productive to get rich, try getting wealthy to buy back your time.

Free time lets you go slow.

Life goes from 8-bit clarity to 4K when you slow down.

I bet my life-savings Michael Saylor will become the richest man in the world by 2030.

Not because he invested billions of dollars in Bitcoin.

Because he found the secret formula for making money (it’s so basic I couldn't believe it): Image
1. Never trust someone who hasn't been broke

Michael Saylor lost $6B in a day back in 2000, due to an accounting error.

It took him 10+ years to recover. This loss is why he's now a billionaire again.

Losing money is how you figure out how to make money.
2. Inflation isn't 2% mofo

But the government says it is.

• The U.S. recently changed their inflation calculation
• The input numbers are collected manually through surveys.
• Inflation is different for everyone

When you look deeper you realize inflation is underreported.

This is Rick Rubin.

He's a music producer who's worked with Jay-Z, Kanye & Lady Gaga.

He doesn't know anything about music & made $300M. His badass philosophy for creativity is why artists come to him.

Here's the philosophy: Image
1. “I have no technical ability. And I know nothing about music.” - Rick Rubin

• Being an expert is overrated
• Creative people are great at the intangible
• Theory/education often drowns out the art

Being creative doesn't mean being productive or talented.
2. "The best art divides the audience."

• Take off your safety pants
• Let people disagree with you
• The haters help your work go viral

If everyone agrees with you, what you've created is sh*t.

After 10 years writing online, here's every writing tip I could come up with:

1. Never trust any social media platform.
2. The lowest IQ writing is about politics.

3. Most people with lots of followers are broke. Build your email list, not your follower count.

4. College degrees are irrelevant to readers.
5. 95% of your content's success is in the headline or hook.

6. The best way to get a book deal in 2024 is to write a highly sharable newsletter.

7. Writing a traditional book sounds smart until you realize you don't get the reader's email address.

The greatest stoic in history:

Seneca.

His writings from 1000s of years ago still get read by millions of people today.

Here are 11 of his best short ideas to build a limitless mindset: Image
People who chase luxury are truly poor

“It is not the man who has too little, but the man who craves more, that is poor.”

We don't give a f*ck if you have a Gucci bag. Are you a nice person?

A better goal than money is to chase freedom.
It's so easy to obsessively protect what you've got when you don't really have much at all.

“People are frugal in guarding their personal property.

But as soon as it comes to squandering time they are most wasteful of the one thing in which it is right to be stingy.”

Protect your time. It's worth more than the physical goods the lie of consumerism sold you.

You want to get rich... start writing online.

12 writing frameworks you need to know in under 3 minutes:
If no one knows who you are, you're never going to get inbound opportunities.

Without opportunities you can't get rich.

That means you have to beg, and suck off gatekeepers, which is a horrible way to live.

Good writing can save your financial life.

Writing frameworks:
1. Write to have ideas, not the other way around

The act of doing it sparks massive creativity. Ideas you didn't know you had will pop up.

My best ideas came from my writing habit. The most popular is about quiet people.

Get good at writing no matter how you feel.
