So another wonderful season of cricket comes to an end here in the UK.

Time to recap a few of the most village moments of the year. A thread —
Before we begin, an honourable mention to some of the best clips of the winter. First up we have this unplayable delivery from a cricket league in Kuwait:

Followed by the greatest wicket-keeper catch of all-time.

And the most eventful dot ball in cricket history:

Pre-season in the Yorkshire Dales got us off to a flyer...

The summer started with absolute scenes at @malverncricket. First ball of the season, and this happens!

@MalvernCricket There is so much going on here. Great entertainment in May from @olney_cc…

@MalvernCricket @olney_cc Nothing you can do about that one, absolute jaffa at @bmcc_official 😂

@MalvernCricket @olney_cc @bmcc_official The great folks at @sanderstead managed to record the best drop in village cricket history...

@MalvernCricket @olney_cc @bmcc_official @sanderstead Speaking of catches, how good are these skills from slip at @fiskandthurgcc!

@MalvernCricket @olney_cc @bmcc_official @sanderstead @fiskandthurgcc Not to be outdone, this lad in the @europeancricket league did it even better...

@MalvernCricket @olney_cc @bmcc_official @sanderstead @fiskandthurgcc @EuropeanCricket The rain fell in July, but the entertainment kept coming.

This youngster getting a bit carried away by the VR headset at @greatharwoodcc…

@MalvernCricket @olney_cc @bmcc_official @sanderstead @fiskandthurgcc @EuropeanCricket @greatharwoodcc Ian Bestwick made headlines in August, batting for 45 overs and facing 137 balls for 0* for Darley Abbey CC 4th XI. Iconic. Image

@MalvernCricket @olney_cc @bmcc_official @sanderstead @fiskandthurgcc @EuropeanCricket @greatharwoodcc Legendary 82-year-old Az Rasheed took 5 for 9 in 5 overs for @TheMoor1857. He's older than all the other wicket takers added together. Hero. Image
@MalvernCricket @olney_cc @bmcc_official @sanderstead @fiskandthurgcc @EuropeanCricket @greatharwoodcc @TheMoor1857 And we celebrated it all, every week, with Episodes of Six & Out. Awesome catches, legendary partnerships, animals stopping play and much, much more.

Thank you to everyone who has supported That's So Village this season, it's been the best year yet.

Until next time 🏏 Image

A thread —
Pep Guardiola

Elegant left handed opener with one of the best techniques on the circuit. Struggles when things don’t go his way. Coaches the juniors on Thursdays but gets white-line fever on Saturdays. Recently lost the vice-captaincy after arguing with an umpire.
Jose Mourinho

Grumpy medium pacer. Now playing at his fourth different club in a league of six teams. Bowls first change down the hill and makes the quicker 21-year-old run into the wind. Relentlessly abuses the batsman and his own teammates from first slip.
