1/ The slaughter of Jebaliya may very well be the most heinous crime Israel has committed throughout its yearlong genocidal campaign in Gaza. It is devoid of even military fictions. The death of Palestinians, all intentional and all "collateral", is the main and only point. --->
2/ Hamas has not been "eliminated" after a year of "fighting" (destroying, slaughtering, looting, burning, starving), so Israel is now overtly seeking the "elimination" of everything and everyone in order to "isolate" Hamas. Jebaliya is being destroyed to isolate. --->
3/ There is nothing to isolate. Nothing is left. There is one seething mass of broken humanity, bloody and dismembered, slaughtered for the vanity of vanities - Security. There can be no life in the wreaking of such horrid, uncaring death. Dehumanization is death. --->
4/ Israelis are settling in for Yom Kippur, the most solemn of Jewish holidays, a day of fasting and atonement for sins. There is no forgiveness for Jebaliya, even if it stood alone. Israel has failed to achieve any task it set itself. Death is now its only success. --->
5/ Here is a message from the prophet Isaiah for the people of Israel:
"Your New Moon feasts and your appointed festivals
    I hate with all my being...
When you spread out your hands in prayer,
    I hide my eyes from you...
Your hands are full of blood!"

1/ As Israel continues to shrink (rockets hit Haifa regularly) Israelis continue averting their eyes. Every bit of Israel is in someone's line of fire. Israelis argue about whether our Public space should be more or less religious. There is a pretense of "public life". --->

1/ We continue to spiral. Any attempt to describe Israel's status as "successful" is, at best, a mockery of reality. As we continue to assassinate and blow up tunnels in Lebanon (what we used to do in Gaza before moving to more genocidal pastures) we are losing Israel. --->
2/ A terror attack took place in Hadera today. One attacker, a Palestinian, an Israeli citizen, from the city of Umm Al-Fakhm. The chief of our national police said, at the scene, "perhaps this is what we must bear at this time". We have nothing to do with it. --->
3/ As we export our state terrorism, "no place too far" for our "justice", we are grow more hollow within. When everyone who is not "us" is a threat there is no more "us". We are unravelling. There is no way to ennsure supremacy other than force. Our force is failing. --->

1/ Netanyahu pulls out last minute "conditions" for defense minister Gallant's visit to the US. Netanyahu is announcing that Nasrallah's heir is dead while IDF spokesman Hagari says "it is still being looked into". The IDF reports it has destroyed "dozens" of underground HQs.--->
2/ Israel is killing countless civilians as it carries out "precision missions" in the air and on the ground. The Israeli air force is attacking in neighboring countries. Israel is doing what it has done for a year. There is no need for "results". --->
3/ No plan. Not the Eiland plan, not the settlement of Gaza, not an occupation of Lebanon; just destruction and tall tales. "We have to annihilate it all", said a random general just now. "Only then will the residents of the north be safe to return." --->

1/ Never have the politics of death been so overt, so clear-cut. If you belong, your death should be mourned and protested but it can and should also serve as a catalyst for political action. Your death should start wars. Your death should define the contours of just peace. --->
2/ If you don't belong, your death is meaningless. In fact, your death is the epitome of meaninglessness. Being "collateral", your death can never possess a meaning of its own. Your death cannot initiate anything. Your death (and you) are nothing, cheaper than air. --->
3/ Life is of little consequence for both. Israelis are willing to die in Gaza, in Lebanon, in Iran. I thought Israeli society would resist war because it feared casualties. I was wrong. We are living under the threat of missile fire throughout the country. Nobody cares. --->

We are confused. We've never had a day like this before. Commemoration of "the fallen" is serious state business here, orderly and regular. There is nothing regular about today. We don't know how to do this. --->
2/ Perhaps the best way to describe it would be to say that today the real world makes its presence felt ever so slightly inside our solipsistic bubble. It is most immediately felt in our vociferous attempts to reject its existence. We want to deny the passage of time. --->

1/ Yesterday, in the midst of an invigorated Gaza genocide, unprecedented aerial bombing and killing in the West Bank and the expansion of assassinations, civilian killings and land grabs in Lebanon, lsraelis took time to celebrate a specific Palestinian death. --->
2/ Israel had managed to kill a Palestinian who had participated in a lynching of two IDF soldiers that had taken place in Ramallah, 24 years ago. Amidst Israel's rampage, we took the time to congratualte ourselves for a "blessed hit", as someone wrote somewhere. --->
3/ I think this can provide another glimpse into Israel's murderous solipsism. We are motivated by an ethic that has no relation to ethics. Additionally, we are not "in it to win it". We want to expunge from all records this who tried to "harm us". it's our right!
