1) Russian disinformation doesn’t act upon opinion. It acts upon people’s perceptions, by building narratives created to be compatible with their existing perceptions. Here you can see why this is an extremely effective method. Let’s continue.⬇️ Image
2) Because of this you see below, you can see why Russian disinformation that assimilates itself into MAGA perceptions is very difficult to defeat. Notice how the Hurricane Helene disinformation continues despite govt attempts to stop it. Let’s keep going⬇️ Image
3) Here’s the entire article. When Russian disinformation becomes indistinguishable from MAGA ideology, then it becomes part of the accepted set of perceptions. Therefore, MAGA views criticism of Russian disinformation as an attack on MAGA itself. Let’s keep going⬇️ Image
Image
4) See that circled part? That’s how some subtle and constant inputs of Russian disinformation acts upon influencing MAGA perceptions. It becomes “normal” and they don’t detect anything markedly different. Thus, they trust what they’re told. Let’s keep going⬇️ Image
5) Here you can see why Russian disinformation created to assimilate into existing MAGA perceptions doesn’t need to be based on reality. So you can say, “the govt controls the weather” and no matter how absurd it sounds, it will be believed no matter what. Let’s keep going⬇️ Image
6) So once disinformation is absorbed into the existing perceptions, it influences thoughts, then attitudes, then behavior. This would be key if you were trying to, for example, incite civil unrest or disorder. Or, at the least, resistance to the federal govt. Let’s keep going⬇️ Image
7) You present a false view of the world to match their existing perceptions. They recognize it as “their own” and eventually this leads to action. People refusing help from FEMA, for example. Russia proved this disinformation weapon works during Hurricane Helene. Also⬇️ Image
8) Russian disinformation creates its stimuli to be compatible with the existing biases of MAGA within MAGA perceptions. Then the way MAGA interprets events will be based upon that. Therefore, FEMA=fed govt=bad=resist FEMA. Let’s keep going⬇️ Image
9) By assimilating itself into perception, Russian disinformation becomes a psychological weapon. It can quite possibly destroy or seriously damage the social cohesion towards civil society of those who succumb to what it says and tells them to do. Let’s keep going⬇️ Image
10) Look at this one again. If you create a psychological weapon that assimilates into the existing perceptions of the target group, not even reality can necessarily change those perceptions. That’s why you see absurd things believed despite evidence to the contrary. Because⬇️ Image
11) As we saw here, once the psychological weapon has been successfully assimilated into the perceptions of the target group, you have these issues listed here. That is: The Russian disinformation is fully assimilated into MAGA perceptions and MAGA can’t tell the difference. Image

Current Russian disinformation motives. This has been going on for some time now.

1) The current Russian disinformation campaign appears to be headed towards this goal: Creating challenges to the legitimacy of the election and widespread civil unrest if Trump loses. I observed some things regarding the Hurricane Helene disinformation. Let’s begin⬇️
2) The Hurricane Helene disinformation campaign accomplished this:
A) It was accepted and believed by large numbers of Americans. So much so, President Biden had to say something.
B) It created wide distrust of federal govt institutions. Especially FEMA.

Now about that⬇️
3) In Item B, not only did it create distrust of govt, but it successfully ascribed sinister motives to it. With that, it could next advocate civil unrest and armed rebellion. Which it did. So Russian operators here learned what can be done regarding the election. And⬇️

1) I will show you a method Russian disinformation operators use to find tweets where they can spread additional disinformation narratives. It’s the Keyword Search Tactic. To find tweets to reply to, they search for a number of keywords to find a fertile field. Meaning⬇️ Image
2) By searching for “trump fema North Carolina” Russian operators find a fertile field to plant the seeds of disinformation narratives they want to grow. Somewhat like growing mushrooms from spores. Or developing a biological weapon such as anthrax. Now next we see⬇️ Image
3) Russian operators see that “GinnyM” has few replies and retweets. This is not the fertile ground. But what about “Wall Street Apes”? Let’s see that one⬇️ Image

1) Some people think Russian disinformation is just propaganda. This is not its true mission. It is a weapon. It appears that the template used to create it is biological weapons. Therefore, it is specifically designed to be highly contagious and easily spread. Meaning⬇️
2) It has specific vectors and methods of transmission. It is designed to be resistant to what we can term “vaccines” and “antibiotics”. That being, civics, system of government, fact-checking, and so forth. Once one person “contracts” it (accepts it), they spread it. And⬇️
3) Once it successfully spreads, discovering the origin is nearly impossible. But it’s quite obvious that disinformation is manufactured and weaponized on the template of a biological weapon. That’s why many fail to truly understand what it really is. Also⬇️

1) No source given for this chart. But I think a Russian made it. I’ll go through the list of circled items. “Fuel oil” is called heating oil in the US and only 4.4% of homes use it. Or they were probably trying to say “diesel fuel” since they mentioned gas and natural gas. And⬇️ Image
Image
2) Next we have “Margarine”. Most American charts would say “butter” since that’s the common word that covers margarine and butter both with average Americans. Margarine is more common in Russia, for reasons you can see on the right. Let’s keep going⬇️ Image

3) Dried beans, peas, and lentils are not something a lot of Americans use. Just go to a supermarket and try finding them easily. And especially dried lentils. Most Americans wouldn’t know where to look for them in a supermarket because they don’t use them. Let’s keep going⬇️ Image

1) Suppose Trump wins the election. US aid to Ukraine stops. Let’s say Ukraine falls by late 2025. What’s the next area Putin might turn towards? I think it is here. Yes, Estonia and Latvia are in NATO. But what if Trump refuses to answer Article 5? What would happen?⬇️ Image
2) To supply Estonia and Latvia across Lithuania and Poland presents a threat to the supply line along the border with Belarus. If Belarus winks and nods. By sea presents problems with Russian anti-shipping cruise missiles. What about Finland there? Well⬇️ Image
3) Russia places its mobile nuclear weapons launch vehicles here, to threaten Helsinki. Wait. Would Russia do that? We’ll answer that next. But the reason why would be to protect Russian soil itself from attack by NATO. NATO is far different from Ukraine entering Kursk. And⬇️ Image

1) You would think it a simple task: All candidates for president must swear an oath publicly that they will:
A) Abide by the results of an election and not make public declarations of fraud regarding the results.
B) Never encourage acts of insurrection or sedition.
But⬇️
2) This cannot be done. The GOP would oppose this, of course. And because of this, there is nothing at present that a presidential candidate cannot advocate or engage in. Where is the process to disqualify a candidate? There is no process. Now people say this is fine. But⬇️
3) Is it fine? Is what Trump’s doing acceptable? Is this to become common from now on? How long can our society endure this? Aren’t we on the path to commonplace political violence? Hasn’t the insurrection proven we are advancing on that path? Consider this next thing⬇️
