My businesses generate $1,160,000 every month.

But in 2014, I almost lost everything.

The government raided my office and tried to throw me in jail (for something I didn’t do).

Here’s the full story of what happened and how it changed my life: Image
This story begins in 2011.

I had just graduated business school, and got a job at Kraft Foods.

The pay was bad. And the work was depressing.

But, after 2 weeks, I realized no one tracked my hours.

So I secretly started working just 2 hours every Tuesday.
I would do any critical tasks I needed to get done at breakneck speed and then leave myself 50+ hours a week to:

• Learn
• Study
• Meet new people

…and explore my curiosity. Literally, nobody noticed.
I used those extra 50 hours to go all-in on learning how to code.

After a few months of learning to code, I could’ve probably landed a job at a tech company.

But I decided early on that I wanted to own something that could grow.

So, me and two of my buddies, started Bitmaker.
Bitmaker was a coding bootcamp in Toronto.

Over the course of a few years, we trained 2,000+ software engineers and got them jobs at companies like Shopify and Facebook.

90% of our students landed jobs within a month of graduating our program.

We were crushing it. Image
Then disaster struck.

The government raided our offices, threatening to shut us down and fine me $1 million.

I panicked. Saw my life flash before my eyes.

But then I had an epiphany that would change everything.
I emailed 3,000 people in my network over 18 hours.

The next day, we were trending on Twitter in Canada.

5 days later, we were back in business.

I learned the power of community and building a loyal audience.

It's the ultimate business insurance policy.
But success came at a cost.

I was burnt out and started drinking too much.

I'd built a business that was running me into the ground.

I realized I needed to design a life and business around freedom.

That's when I discovered the 4 W's. Image
The 4 W's of freedom:

• Work WHERE you want
• Work WHEN you want
• Work on WHAT you want
• Work with WHO you want

This became my north star for building businesses.

It led me to create systems that would transform my life and work.
I grew my audience to millions of followers without spending a dime on ads by leveraging the "Content GPS":

A system that attracts your ideal audience and converts them into customers on autopilot.

It's the most powerful tool I've discovered in 14 years of entrepreneurship.
The Content GPS has 3 core components:

1. Grow your rented audience (social media)
2. Own your audience (email list)
3. Monetize your audience

Most people mess this up. They create content randomly with no strategy.

But that's a recipe for burnout and giving up. Image
The key is to pick a niche and 4 content categories within it.

My niche is helping founders scale to $5M/year with proven systems.

My categories?

Systems. Marketing. Audience Growth. Community building

In a world of generalists, be a specialist. Image
But having an audience isn't enough.

You need to create an offer so irresistible that strangers can't help but buy from you.

You need to deeply understand your ideal client's pains and desires, and then create their perfect solution.

Remember: Build something people want. Image
Once you have your offer, it's time to build systems.

At Founder OS, we use a 3-part system for every task:

1. Loom video walkthrough
2. Google Doc with step-by-step instructions
3. Examples of excellence

This allows us to delegate effectively and scale efficiently. Image
Finally, building a team of A-players.

Hire people smarter than you, then get out of their way.

Give them the tools, resources, and environment to thrive.

Default to trust. Delegate authority, not just responsibility.

Your job is to enable greatness, not micromanage. Image
These systems have helped me build a portfolio of successful online companies.

But more importantly, it has given me true freedom.

I travel the world, work 4 hours a day, and make memories with the people I love.

That's what being an entrepreneur is all about. Image

If you want to give yourself a personal MBA, read these 10 books:

1. The Almanack of Naval Ravikant by Eric Jorgensen Image
This is the greatest book on wealth & happiness.

Some of my favorite principles include:

• Play long-term games with long-term people
• Learning itself is the most important skill
• Treat your time as an asset

Remember: “Optimize your life for freedom, not money.” Image
Deep Work by Cal Newport

In this book, you’ll learn:

• The value of deep vs shallow work
• How to avoid the trap of 'busyness'
• How to create rituals and routines for focus

In a world of constant distractions, focus is a priceless asset. Image

Steve Jobs once said:

"The most powerful person in the world is the storyteller."

But most people don’t know how to tell a good story.

13 storytelling techniques to make you unstoppable in business and life: Image
Start With A Powerful Hook

Jobs grabbed attention immediately in his 2007 iPhone launch:

"This is a day I've been looking forward to for 2.5 years."

Your audience's time is valuable. Don't waste time with formalities.

Hit them with something they can't ignore.
Create A Villain

For the iPhone, Jobs positioned clunky smartphones as the antagonists:

"The problem is they're not so smart and not so easy to use."

Every story needs conflict. Paint a picture of what's broken in your industry.

Give your audience something to root against.

The greatest thinker of the 21st century:

Naval Ravikant.

He was an early investor in Uber, Twitter, and Notion.

And he famously said, “You’re not going to get rich renting out your time.”

Here are 10 of his teachings on wealth that changed my life: Image
Don’t Chase Money, Build Wealth

"Wealth is having assets that earn while you sleep. Money is how we transfer time and wealth."

Most people try to become wealthy by chasing dollars.

Create wealth by building systems that work for you.
Prioritise Owning Equity

"You're not going to get rich renting out your time. You must own equity - a piece of a business - to gain your financial freedom."

Trading time for money is a losing game. The real wealth comes from ownership.

Don’t be an employee. Be an owner.

Harsh truth:

If you don’t have a personal brand, you’ll never be successful.

Here’s why you’re missing out on the biggest opportunity of your lifetime: Image
People trust people.

Brands like Tesla and Apple are huge, but their CEOs have even bigger followings. Why?

Because people connect with other people, not faceless companies.

Your personal brand is the key to scaling your business. Image
One of my biggest regrets:

Not building my personal brand sooner.

I spent years focusing on companies when I should have made myself the face.

As soon as I did, opportunities and cash flow followed.

Learn from my mistakes.

Everyone with a laptop should make $50,000/month online.

Sadly, most people think it takes years to build.

Here’s the playbook I used to leverage my personal brand into a $13.8M/year empire: Image
Before I took control of my personal brand.

I was in the office building from 8 am to 2 am building Bitmaker - a coding bootcamp.

I swore by hustle culture and the “no days off” mantra.

I had no freedom. Image
Everywhere I looked, it was clear that the future of entrepreneurship was founder-led:

• Cost Plus Drugs: 140K followers. Mark Cuban: 9M
• Virgin: 250K followers. Richard Branson: 12M
• Square: 300K followers. Jack Dorsey: 7M

People follow people, not companies.

The single most powerful habit for guaranteed success:

Doing less.

I’ve spent $680k on mentorships to learn how the greatest entrepreneurs make billions while working 4 hours a day.

Here’s what I learned: Image
Doing less has nothing to do with laziness.

It's about leverage. With the advice I learned, I've built multiple income streams that make me $1.1M/month by mastering this art.

Your success depends on what you choose NOT to do.

Doing less yields more. Image
Forget your to-do list. Instead, create a not-to-do list.

Mine includes:

• No emails before noon
• No social media on my phone
• No to business opportunities that don’t align with my purpose

Embrace the power of less.
