In the 1960s a miraculous treatment for chronic pain, traumatic injury, strokes and spinal cord paralysis was discovered that spread across America like wildfire—until the FDA buried it.
Here, 60 Minutes exposed the FDA using the same playbook they used throughout COVID-19. A🧵
In this article, I show how DMSO safely freed millions from chronic pain and was proven to rapidly treat 80-90% of injury. Yet, despite decades of incredible data and widespread protest for it to be legalized, the FDA still buried it. midwesterndoctor.com/p/dmso-is-a-mi…
The FDA's justification for prohibiting DMSO was that it was incredibly dangerous. In truth, the evidence showed DMSO was one of the safest substances in existence. Here I compiled all the existing toxicology data on DMSO for anyone wishing to use it. midwesterndoctor.com/p/the-remarkab…
If DMSO was used for strokes and spinal cord injuries, millions would be spared from death, paralysis, and disability. Here I provide the evidence that show's just how unconscionable to FDA's prohibition of DMSO was. midwesterndoctor.com/p/dmso-could-s…
Since writing about DMSO a few weeks ago, I've received many almost unbelievable stories (ie. for injuries, chronic pain, Down syndrome and Parkinson's) from readers who decided to try the protocols I presented. Please take a look at them and share yours! midwesterndoctor.com/p/the-remarkab…
This was a comment I received from a reader about DMSO and Down Syndrome:
My wife and I recently got some DMSO (from DMSOstore on amazon) and we've both been using it, and also giving some to our young daughter who has Down Syndrome. We've been giving her extra vitamins based on the treatment protocol of some studies that I found after reading your previous posts on this topic.
Almost immediately we noticed that our little girl was sleeping better through the night, and she's become more verbal. She'll be 2 in less than a week and she suddenly seems like she wants to say words more intentionally now, even if we mostly can't understand them yet. Also, her appetite has improved substantially. She just seems more active, and that's really awesome!
This was a comment I received about DMSO and Parkinson's:
Thank you once again AMD for a great article on the safety of DMSO. I ordered DMSO immediately after your first article appeared. I am now in the 4th week of testing DMSO for Parkinson's diseasr. I followed the recommended dosing schedule starting at 3.5g/day taken orally and scaling up to 14g. It soon became clear to me that this was too much as I had severe headache and brain fog, so I decided to take a break. On the second day of the break my Parkinson's symptoms almost disappeared and I felt better than I had felt for ages. The biggest improvement was in relief from bradykinesia. After being slow for the past years, I suddenly became Mr Speedy...At this dose I get minor brain fog for about one hour and the benefits of DMSO for the rest of the day.
Dmso is indeed marvelous. We gave 50 grams of Dmso i.v. daily for five months to a person who severed her lumbar spinal column. No organ damage noted from the Dmso and she can now drive and walk albeit slowly. Approximately forty (out of forty) patients with confirmed bacterial prostatitis have eliminated the bacteria in their prostate with a single dose of antibiotic dissolved in Dmso administrated via catheter three times a week for 4 weeks. No recurrences. Hematoxylin dissolved in Dmso i.v. has reverted several cancers. Speaking to the topic brought up in your Substack - LD50 - before employing the treatment an LD50 study was clearly necessary. Since a published study was not found we had to take on the challenge of doing one. At the dosis necessary the result was several times less toxic than acetaminofen mentioned in your article above.
While DMSO has never been linked to a single death, as I show here the typical drugs we use for pain and injuries kill tens of thousands of Americans each year and are the leading cause of drug induced hospitalizations.
Follow up from that individual with parkinson's: In terms of symptom response to DMSO, in these first 4 weeks, pain, speed and the range of movement were most improved, followed by stiffness. Tremor seems to take more time to respond but there are already subtle signs of improvement. I and my family have also noted improvements in a whole range of other symptoms: brighter facial expression, eye comfort (more irrigation), stronger voice, more energy, better left/right hand coordination (fewer typing errors when using computer keyboard) and improved handwriting. Most importantly, I have periods of feeling really good which were previously absent. I have no doubt that DMSO is doing something good.
DMSO quickly became the most sought after drug in America and before long thousands of studies showed it worked. Here I explain why the FDA banned it despite decades of protest and used their newfound police powers to sabotage many more natural therapies. midwesterndoctor.com/p/the-fdas-war…
Here I present the evidence DMSO is also a remarkable treatment for a variety of head conditions including incurable diseases like blindness and tinnitus. midwesterndoctor.com/p/how-dmso-cur…
This article shows how DMSO is remarkably useful for a a variety of autoimmune disorders, including incurable ones that are severe and often terminal. Remarkably, despite decades of pleas and incredible research, the FDA simply would not legalize it. midwesterndoctor.com/p/how-dmso-tre…

The real causes of depression are being buried to sell a profitable myth about “chemical imbalances.”
That lie made Big Pharma billions — and turned a normal, human emotion into a medical condition.
But when researchers looked beyond serotonin, they found an inconvenient truth: addressing nutrient deficiencies and physical imbalances consistently outperforms antidepressants.
🧵 THREAD
Emotional dysfunction isn’t just a byproduct of modernity—it’s the fuel that keeps our system running.
That’s a big claim, I know. But when you really think about it, it makes perfect sense.
Why? Because of these four things:
• We misunderstand emotions
• Our economy profits from dysfunction
• Medicine ignores real healing
• Modern life destroys mental balance
The average person’s emotions no longer belong to them.
We’re constantly manipulated by marketers and media, we’re monetized by Big Pharma, and we’re numbed by pills, drugs, and screens.
It’s not an accident that we live in the age of anxiety. It’s a business model.
The process salts you see today are stripped of the trace minerals you need.
For years, science has waged a war against salt, calling it the cause of high blood pressure and heart disease.
Low-salt diets are prescribed by doctors to millions of people a year—yet few are warned about what happens when the body doesn’t get enough salt.🧵
For half a century, we’ve been told something so often it feels completely unnecessary to question it:
Salt raises blood pressure.
High blood pressure causes heart disease.
Therefore, salt is dangerous.
It’s simple. Linear. Clean.
But it might be one of the most oversimplified stories in modern medicine.
And if we’ve been led to believe something is unquestionable simply because we’ve heard it repeated so many times… well that’s a clear indication that we should probably start questioning it.
The war on salt didn’t begin with overwhelming data.
It began in 1977, when a Senate committee recommended sodium restriction despite evidence not clearly supporting it.
From that moment forward, a hypothesis hardened into doctrine. And doctrine rarely retreats quietly.
Todd had terminal ALS and just ordered a wheelchair—then DMSO gave him his life back
His brain fog vanished. Breathing crises stopped in 3 days. He dragged 340-lb beams across a road. His reflexes healed.
His recovery shocked his doctors—but ALS is far from the only thing DMSO helps.
James Miller MD found roughly 80% of neurological issues people see neurologists for simply go away once he gives them DMSO.
Approximately 2500 studies support its use for conditions ranging from Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s to strokes, MS, paralysis, chronic pain, spinal injuries, depression, epilepsy, and Down syndrome.
Here, I will show how DMSO can cure many "incurable" neurological disorders.🧵
Here I present the extensive evidence behind DMSO's ability to treat numerous "incurable" neurological diseases.
This article draws upon over 2000 studies and 200 reports from readers who were healed by DMSO along with practical guidance on how to use it midwesterndoctor.com/p/how-dmso-hea…
Since publishing this article, I've received numerous reports of DMSO helping neurological conditions readers had struggled with for years.
All of them can be read here:
Remember Aduhelm? It was Biogen’s $56,000/year Alzheimer’s drug that didn’t even work. Worse, it caused brain swelling, brain bleeding, and sudden falls in patients—and the FDA approved it anyway.
But the truth is, you don’t need deep pockets to treat Alzheimer’s. You just need to look at what Big Pharma can’t monetize.
Here are the real causes behind Alzheimer’s—and the inexpensive and safe treatment options you can explore instead.
🧵 THREAD
Modern medicine is addicted to the biochemical model of disease because it creates a pipeline for expensive, patentable drugs, and it often leaves patients and their families in the dark, rather than empowered and in control.
It’s not about finding root causes. It’s about finding something you can bill for.
That’s why the industry has spent decades treating Alzheimer’s like a “chemical imbalance” in the brain caused by amyloid plaques—even though hundreds of trials targeting amyloid have failed.
The more the theory collapsed, the harder the system doubled down. Just like cholesterol and heart disease, the medical machine kept pushing the failed model long after it broke.
The amyloid hypothesis was unstoppable. Billions poured in. Researchers who questioned it were pushed to the margins.
Critics called it “amyloid mafia” because no alternative view got funded or even considered.
Meanwhile, real scientists were finding deeper drivers of Alzheimer’s. Things like chronic inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, and mitochondrial collapse.
But these discoveries never gained traction because they didn’t lead to blockbuster drugs.
The entire field locked onto a theory that would never cure the disease but could generate infinite research dollars.
