Dear Bill,
I spent last night tossing and turning, wondering how I would respond to your email. I have been a loyal Penzey's shopper for fifteen? eighteen? years.
2)
I will no longer be after this most recent email.
You wrote: "Yesterday was the 10.7 anniversary. 10.7 was nothing short of monstrous. It was designed to get Israel to show itself to the world. If only it could have waited to respond.
3)
If only it could have shown its better self. Weep for 10.7 and for every day since, and for the world that could have been."
4)
What you wrote about October 7 and Israel is so deeply offensive I feel sick to my stomach. As an American Jew, the safety of my family and friends in Israel has been at the top of my mind since October 7.
5)
That you chose our day of mourning to write an offensive political message is beyond words. How do you think a country should react when they are bombarded by missiles, attacks, rapes, murders, stabbings, kidnappings and beheadings on a daily basis?
6)
How can you sit on your high horse and claim that Israel should have responded in another way?
I hate war. I hate death and fighting and loss of life. It grieves me that so many innocent people have lost their lives throughout the Middle East conflicts.
7)
My faith guides me to seek peace and justice and kindness and love, everything you supposedly stand for. Your short paragraph rocked me to my core and I will no longer set foot in our Cleveland Penzey's store.
8)
Maybe it makes you feel good to write the things you do but you shattered me when I read that paragraph yesterday.
Goodbye Penzey's. Thanks for the memories, especially this last one that tastes so foul no spice mix will correct it.

Melanie Phillips @MelanieLatest said, "Judaism is not a religion in the way that Christianity is or Islam is, in other words, it's a relationship between you and the Almighty. It's not just that.

Judaism is a kind of three-legged stool consisting of the people, the religion, and the land. The religion is based on the people being given a Divine mandate in the land to live under a set of laws, and so if you take one of those legs away, Judaism now collapses under it.
2)
Now, it doesn't mean to be a Jew, you've got to go and live in Israel. It doesn't mean that to be a Jew you've got to be, you know, religiously observant, not at all, but Judaism itself is that three legged stool, and

You might ask why because none of the reasons he says makes any economic sense.
Consider this: He has lots of Investments that depend on China, including an enormous Casino in Macao.

Think about it.
BUT I FIND ONE THING MARC CUBAN SAID TODAY - THAT MEN VOTE FOR TRUMP BECAUSE THEY ARE INFLUENCED BY INTERNET.

That is funny ---- because studies have shown that girls and women tend to be influenced by social media at a factor of more than twice how males and boys are influenced"

One notable example of his engagement with the Jewish community was his response to the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire in 1911, which resulted in the deaths of 146 women, mostly Jewish immigrant workers.

Mayor Smith chaired the investigatory commission that led to significant reforms in fire safety and labor laws. This effort earned him the respect and gratitude of the Jewish community, who saw him as a champion of workers’ rights and social justice.
